Mid-Feb Mock Plan (Post-GQ Signing, Foster News)

question with Uchenna Nwosu, can he be a WILL LBer? I haven't watch much tape but just reading his profile it sounds like he's a little small to be a LEO and has short arms.

I don't know much about the kid honestly

You really put a ton of time on this. I like most of it, but I've read multiple rumors of Norwell being franchised by Carolina. I don't think Elway would trade Ray, at least not for Armstead.....maybe RFA Shaq Barrett would be an option. Murphy would a great get and Hitchens would be a good fit as well. Hitchens will be a battle to get as his position coach was hired by the Colts and they are rumored to actively want to pursue him.

Love the Jones and Goedert picks. Jones is a perfect fit for this offense. Goedert is a match-up nightmare, and I think he's the best TE in a pretty average class. Don't mind the Davis pick. If we miss out on CB in the first, there are 2 CBs in the second who could fit the bill in Kameron Kelly and Tavarus McFadden, both 6'2, 200lb, they should run in 4.45-4.5 range.

As good an off-season as I've seen. Saving cap space is prudent, however it's time for playoffs. If we spend every penny we will still be 30+ million under next off season. Jimmy cap number drops significantly. As well as other comtracts coming off the books. We can also dump Malcolm Smith without much impact. Several others. Ward if not restructured, his 8.5 comes off too. So I say spend, but wisely. I dig your trades and draft most. Davis, Jones, Daniels, Nwosu, kappa specifically. I beleive Nwosu can play a lot of spots. My draft crush. I don't love all the FA signings but holes were filled and upgraded. Signings at what amount would sway me one way or the other.

Really who's been saying he might be tagged? That would be like a $14 million hit for one yr there hasn't been a OG tagged since 2011...there's no difference in tag price for OT or OG & imo that's a buttload or money for a one yr commitment.

They have like $25 million committed to LT/C/RG in 2018, plus throw in the fact that Daryl Williams is one of the best RT in the league heading into his contract yr norwell is gone imo.

He's gonna be a giant book it

My feeling as well. He likely wants to get paid, he may have to take a cut to come here or not get as paid as much. Carolina isn't going to tag him they've got too much money tied up in o line as it is.

My mistake, Bleacher Report was indicating he could possibly be franchised but since they would have to pay him as an elite LT at almost 14 million which is unlikely. Zeitler is highest paid guard in the league at 12million, so it makes little sense for Carolina to pay Norwell 14 mill. So I was way off on that, my bad. On the other hand, NY, I think you are right about him becoming a Giant.
