The idea of this mock was to ensure a minimum of 2 quality players at each position.

Our team was often limited last year due to injuries. For example, when Juszczyk got nicked up it made our playbook smaller. When Staley and Brown went down, CJ was getting destroyed. We need more depth to be a contender, and I believe this draft solves all of these problems. Being realistic, some of these players might be difficult to draft at the spots I took them. We might have to move around a bit draft wise. There are several good alternatives in the draft as well.

The draft order is the priority in which I would draft each position. I used our first pick to get Davenport because there aren't great free agency options for edge rushers. IMO there are several good CB and ILB options. Receiver probably isn't as big of a need, but I couldn't help moving up a bit to get Anthony Miller. Hopefully he falls a bit due to his injury, lower competition and missing workouts.

I love the idea of bringing in Ryan Nall, in the 7th a little bigger, but so similar to juice! Great mock
Switch Harold Landry for Davenport and I'm in! 👍

I like it! Looks like the Sherman signing is happening which I'm not pumped about but what do ya do. Anyways, like TJ Carrie quite a bit and your draft hits a few of my favorite prospects.

Personally I'd go with Edmunds over Davenport but both are high on my list. Jones and Daniels would be homeruns at those spots. Thumbs up!
I can endorse any mock that has gesiki in it he is going to be a beast!!

I like Landry, but I like Davenport a bit more. I think he's a monster, and I only see him getting better. Davenport is just such a sexy prospect, that speed, power, and length. He's just such an explosive football player. Once he gets coached up a little on using his hands, kid will be lights out.

Not trying to sound like Trent Baalke though, and I think Landry will be a really good player too.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I saw him. He looks like he could be his brother or something. Would be great to have depth at that position.

Marcus Allen in the 7th? He's a day 2 prospect. Did I miss something?

My reaction as well. And Daniels and Gesicki will more than likely be gone. Good players targeted other than Davenport.

The projections always have way too many guys early. Plenty of guys that are projected for the 4th round or later always end up not being drafted. I think there are several guys from smaller teams that will rise in those later rounds at all positions. There are usually around 20 or so safeties drafted, he's probably looked at as the 10th to15th best safety, but there are several reasons why he could fall a bit. He might fall because he didn't run the 40 at the combine, he didn't really have a great combine, his ball skills aren't great either and he lacks top speed. That being said, I think he's a good football player on tape and you're right he could easily be taken before that pick.

If he's gone I have a few alternates in mind. Tre Flowers, Cole Reyes, Tracy Walker or Dane Cruikshank. Quin Blanding would be cool, but I think he'll be gone. Who would you prefer if we took a safety at that spot?
