1) Quentin Nelson miraculously falls to us at 9 - If he somehow makes it to 8 with Chicago on the board, the only way I see him making it to us is if a QB needy team (AZ, BUF, MIA) offers CHI a big pot to get a QB. We set this up by "leaking" talks of a trade down with a QB needy team with 3 QB's already off the board at the Bucs pick.
2) Trade down - We get the big pot including a 1st next year and an extra 2nd. Possibly get guards Wynn, Hernandez or LBs Evans, Leonard, Jefferson in the late 1st/early 2nd range. We could also end up with Edmunds, Davenport, or Smith at the AZ pick.
3) Harold Landry - That elite get off is gonna do some serious damage at the LEO spot in both base and nickle packages. This also allows us to put Solo and AA back at where they peaked at coming into the draft. B gap killers.
4) Roquan Smith - Edmunds is nice if he gets it together mentally but I'm leaning more toward proven over potential. I wouldn't be mad at Edmunds for Madden purposes lol.
5) Trade to 7 for Nelson - For a guard? Typically, no. QN ain't your typical top guard in the draft tho. The guards that we have on the roster? Weak. NFC West has probably the toughest DTs in the league. Seattle, Sheldon Richardson. LA, Suh and Donald. AZ, Robert Nkemdiche as he transitions to a 4-3. You better have some good guards to play in this division.
