Mock Draft I would be happy with

Round 1 Pick 9: Nelson, Quenton, OG, Notre Dame
Round 2 Pick 27: Nwosu, Uchenna, OLB, Southern California
Round 3 Pick 6: Ejiofor, Duke, DE, Wake Forest
Round 3 Pick 10: Washington, James, WR, Oklahoma State
Round 4 Pick 28: Harris, Davontae, CB, Illinois State
Round 5 Pick 6: McIntosh, RJ, DT, Miami (FL)
Round 6 Pick 10: Apke, Troy, SS, Penn State
Round 7 Pick 9: Harrison, Desmond, OT, West Georgia
Round 7 Pick 22: Smith, Ito, RB, Southern Miss
If Nelson drops that far, I would take him, too. But that's a big IF. Great mock if it falls that way.
Shanahan has never taken a 1st round guard.

This team with Laken Tomlinson, who was brought in in week 1 with no experience in this scheme and Brandon Fusco put up almost 29 ppg with Garrapolo.

But on D we have major holes at all 3 levels.

I'd be extremely disappointed with a 1st round guard especially when we already have 3 former 1st rounders competing for 2 positions.

MLB
SAM
LEO
CB

Should all be drafted before OG IMO.

That said, Austin Corbett looks alot like Joel Bitonio who was a 2nd round pick when Shanahan was in Cleveland. If he falls to 59 he would make sense.

To take a plug and play, potential Pro Bowl guard who he can count on for the next 10 years, Shanahan may make an exception. If you are right, Corbett would be a great fallback choice.

We just signed a guy who was taken in the top 10 who was supposedly a potential Pro Bowl guard.

Scheme got means everything.

Jonathan Cooper should have been drafted by a zone tram and instead Arizona tried to make him a power blocker. And Nelson should be drafted by a power run team. He isn't a fit as a zone blocker.
A bunch of meh in this draft
