Draft week baby...wait. ITS DRAFT WEEK BABY!!!! Here's the top 5 things I want to happen on Thursday.

1) Draft Quentin Nelson at #9 - It'll be a freakin miracle if this happens. The main 3 obstacles in the way are Denver passing, Chicago passing, and Shanahan being willing to spend a 1st rounder on a Guard. Nelson opens up a lot of the offense that we couldn't run last year in both the run and pass game.

2) Draft Harold Landry at #9 - Yes, this will mark the 4th year in a row that we go DL in the 1st and the 3rd consecutive Top 10 pick in the same scenario. What's the difference? He's a true LEO so gone is the attempts of misfits at the position where we force DTs to play the position. Put Landry outside and let his amazing get off setup Buck and Solo to dominate inside.

3) Trade up and draft Nelson at #7 - I can see this happening if he's on the board at #6 and he really is our guy. Yes, it'll cost us to move up but with Nelson, the OLine is finally set for 2018 barring any injuries. It'll be expensive to move up though since we'll be competing with other QB needy teams trying to jump in and take whatever QB is left.

4) Trade down - As I've said before, the market for QB after #5 will be very limited and with teams like Buffalo, Arizona, and Pittsburgh looking for a QB, they might follow KC and the Rams and give up the pot to sit their QB of the future behind a vet for their rookie year. With the added 2nd rounder, we'll still be in a great spot to fill all Guard, LB, DE needs. Hernandez, Wynn, Davenport, LVE, Leonard, and Jefferson will all be there. We will kill 2 birds with one stone and that stone being the #9 pick in the draft.

5) Draft Roquan Smith at #9 - This is last on my list, mainly because it's a real option due to Rueben Foster's actions off the field. IMO it's a wasted but necessary pick since I don't see any of the other 5 stud LBs (Edmunds, LVE, Evans, Jefferson, and Leonard) making it to our late 2nd round pick.
I would take any of 1, 2, 4 or 5. I really can't see us trading up this year from #9. We need those other picks.
I'd also trade up for Chubb if he was there at 6/7...

Honestly, I think a great guard and an elite WR is all our offense is missing to be unstoppable. I'd use those picks to protect my QB and open up a lot of the playbook.

I think he's the 1st defender off the board. But yeah, him too if it's 4 QBs and Barkley in the top 5.
