Kriz' fairy tale off-season with mock.

Waaaaaay early in the process. With the season fresh on our minds. Why not mock it up.
Release: Mitchell, Garcon (option decline), Smith
Resign: Gould, Pinion, Person, Holba, Mabin, Lee, Mostert
Free Agency is chalk full of LB talent. Will they all actually hit the market? in my world they do.
Free Agency:
1 of 4 for MIKE (Kwon Alexander, CJ Mosley, Denzel Perryman or Jordan Hicks)
1 of 2 for SAM (Shaquill Barrett or Shane Ray)
Earl Thomas - FS - Seahawks
None of these free agents "sacrifice our future for the present" but sure helps the present in a way we'd all love.
DRAFT: Trade #2 to Jacksonville for Ramsey and #7. This is the year they have to decide on 5th year option. They talk about changing the culture... Could Ramsey be the start of that? Is ridding themselves of someone they may not keep anyway worth the opportunity to select what they hope will be a franchise QB? In this fairy tale off-season, they do

#7 Edge Rusher. I'm torn between Clelin Ferrell & Jachai Polite. What if Allen is there at 7?

#36 Chris Lindstrom, G, BC. it's time we upgrade this OL. If it means a boring draft doing it. Then by all means let's go boring. Heck, in this fairy tale we made our splash in FA and with the trade for Ramsey.

#67 Jace Sternberger. TE TAMU George Kittle i know i know. Some posters want us to get that dynamic outside guy like OBJ. The problem is we don't have a QB on our roster for an outside guy like Beckham. Our QBs strengths are between the numbers. Our HC/OC strength is scheming plays. Having Jace and Kittle in the middle opens the outside for Pettis and Goodwin. Sternberger would also be another redzone threat we need. Would giv us the flexibility of powering it in or splitting one or both TEs out wide down there

#98 Daylon Mack NT TAMU Space eater who can also get penetration. Honestly not sure where he's projected to go.

#163 Keelan Doss WR UC Davis or Trevon Brown ECU Doss 6'3 206 6'2 215. Would one of them be that big WR we think we need?

7th round: personally id take a flyer on an OT here. Would be able to sit for a couple years. If he works out great if not only a 7th.
Imagine this defense if we could sign the any of the two LB's in their respective category plus earl and trade for Ramsey.

Now imagine those pickups and if that Armstead for Beasley deal that another poster presented went down. Then we wouldn't necessarily need to go ER in the 1st.

No help at WR except for Doss ? Releasing Garçon and not signing anyone or taking a WR earlier in the draft is not helping the offense..

The offense isn't our problem. And as i said we dont have a QB on our Roster to make a true outside #1 WR Great!

Dante Pettis and Goodwin will be just fine IMO.

Adding a 2nd legit TE to this offense as we are currently constructed would do more wonders for our offense than adding an outside guy who wouldn't be used to his potential IMO.

We don't have gunslingers on our team

Man I would love that trade with Jacksonville. Our defense would be looking pretty legit if this went down.

You are telling me that Jimmy G isn't a good enough QB to have a #1 WR. Wow!!!!

Also, Dante Pettis is unproven and Goodwin is very injury prone. I think we need a little more help at WR.
I like it but with 1 change.
Trade down again with Pit. 7 for 20 and A. Brown.
With the 20th pick grab Burns.

I would take Burns and Brown over Polite/Ferrell.

You didn't read what i said. I said don't have a QB to make a true outside #1 WR great.

Like the Antonio Browns, Jarvis Landrys, Keenan Allens.

The guys that do most of their work underneath between the numbers.

We have a bunch of those guys already. People are wanting that stud big WR. I just dont think they would be used to their fullest potential.

I don't think Garop would be good with the OBJ'S, HILTONS. Tyreek Hills.

Jusr my opinion

EDIT: I dont think Joe Montana and Randy Moss or T.O. would be good fits.

Would not be opposed to this at all. But if Lynch to Joe Williams off the board because he quit on his team.

Wpuld he give up the 7th pick gor AB?

Just like with Joe Williams if Kyle asks him to, yes.

We def. Need a wr upgrade. If Allen is available at 7. You have no choice. He's way better than both your options. For me at 2 it's Allen or trade down

Totally disagree we don't have a QB that can make an outside WR great...look at Goodwin last yr with JG. Kid was 40 yards shy of 1K.

If they don't come away with a WR upgrade it will be a fail for me. You can't count on Goodwin, dude has played one full season his whole career.

They paid Jimmy G to throw the damn ball get him guys that can help.

And Goodwin was used exactly as i described. We were all surprised that Goodwin was more than just a deep guy. We used him mainly underneath and between the numbers.

And your point about Goodwin nearly being a 1k WR mainly with JG is my point as well. That offense isnt our problem.

We may lack depth at WR for sure. But giving our offensive philosophy and QB makeup. Goodwin, Pettis perfect for us.

Them 2 plus Kittle and Sternberger (or either of the IOWA TEs posters like) would be better for this offense than the Big bodied guys posters have been clamoring for.

So i should clarify. When i say true outside WR. Im talking guys you throw it up to on the sidelines, down the field, back shoulder throws out there etc.... im not talking someone who lines up outside. Im talking someone who does most of their work on the outside, down the field, contested balls etc.

Goodwin avg 17.2 ypr (3rd in the league) so no it wasn't just on underneath routes/
and between the numbers.
