Pre-Combine Mock

You'll love this offseason scenario by yours truly. Not going to go over every necessary roster move and salary cap impact -- basically if the player's on the depth chart we made it work and if you don't see anyone on the chart they're probably not on the team or is not that important :)

First off -- the draft. We trade our #2 and Soloman Thomas (haha) to the Faiders for their #4, #24, and 2nd round pick

1. Arizona -- select Nick Bosa to pair with Chandler Jones as they form a formidable bookend pass rush
2. Oakland (via trade with SF) - select the next Patrick Willis, the next Roquan Smith, the next CJ Mosley -- sideline to sideline hard hitting phenom, Devin White out of LSU
3. New York Jets -- select Greedy Williams to be their #1 shutdown corner for the next five years.
4. San Francisco -- select Josh Allen!!!!!

Now key team losses/resignings

Let go without a second thought: Jimmie Ward, Malcolm Smith, Earl Mitchell

Resign/Retain: Robbie Gould, Bradley Pinion, Kyle Nelson, Mark Nzeocha, Julian Taylor, Elijah Lee, Greg Mabin

Free Agent pickups:

Z'Darius Smith!
Bryce Callahan
Brandon Graham!
Jesse James
Ben Garland

Smith will get paid but he's worth it. He'll be our passing down menace. Callahan is an upgrade over Ward in the slot. Brandon Graham (31) is a still relatively young veteran who will help solidify the dline and also offer some pass rush. And Jesse James is an upgrade over Celek and will be another viable red zone threat for Jimmy G. Garland (31) was a starter for Shanahan in 2016 and will be an upgrade over Person and will regulate Tomlinson to the bench for depth.

Now the draft in order of selection:

  1. Josh Allen (1-4) OLB, Kentucky -- our new strongside linebacker; he'll be perfect in this role early on in his career next to Warner
  2. DK Metcalf (1-24), WR, Ole Miss -- I don't think he lasts to #24, may have to trade up to secure him. Dude will be the next Julio Jones or Megatron if his neck heals 100%. If he isn't available I think we take Iowa TE Noah Fant who could very well switch to WR in the NFL due to his extreme athleticism
  3. Amani Hooker (2-3), FS, Iowa -- This dude is an absolute ballhawk. Forget Earl the Pearl, we get a f**king Hooker quarterbacking our secondary
  4. Charles Omenihu (2-4) DE, Texas -- Just a purely violent run stopping QB pressuring monster on the dline. If he isn't available we hope another Amani is and that's Penn State corner Amani Oruwariye
  5. Erick McCoy (3-3) OG, Texas A&M -- very well rounded technician who can move and operate very well in the 2nd level -- perfect for Kyle's zone scheme
  6. Elijah Holyfied (4-2) RB, Georgia - we need a power back with some toughness and that's Holyfield, yes, son of Evander. Dude is built like a fire hydrant but can move like a gazelle.
  7. Hunter Renfrow (6-3) WR, Clemson - move over Trent Taylor, dude will not drop a ball, call him Mr Elmers.
  8. Xavier Crawford (7-29) CB, good size, good player, let's see if he makes the roster
  9. Quadree Ollison (UDFA) FB, dude is basically a power back, 1200 yds rushing, 12 tds for Pittsburgh in 2018 -- if he can block he'll be able to complement Juice at that position

This is definitely a playoff caliber team provided we don't encounter any major injuries. Both sides have been significantly upgraded. Even if Jimmy G regresses or gets injured again -- we're still in good shape because of all of the additional pieces we've added and Mullens can take the team and compete with anyone.

And we bring Brenston Buckner out of retirement!
So the Raiders give up almost as much for white as they got from Mack?

6 years younger and significantly less expensive. They get Soloman too lulz. If it's not realistic then throw in our 2020 2nd or 3rd.
Raiders would go for trade if it included Nick Bosa and not White. Smith and Graham shore up the edges. Why not pick up a better OL who can play multiple positions with #27 pick and a linebacker( Germaine Pratt) with 3rd round pick. Trade our 2nd round pick for Antonio Brown

this isn't realistic but I get it...it's for fun
Raiders won't trade up for white...why wouldnt he be there at 4? And you are paying Z.Smith to rush the passer, but have him playing off ball linebacker
with Mike Mayock on board, I doubt the Raiders will make the first move when it comes to trading.. This draft is loaded with DL (especially) and I'm sure both Mayock and Gruden will use the three 1st rounders as bait for other teams who may feel that they are a player or 2 away from the Super Bowl..

I expect the Raiders to get more picks and land more players when all said and done..
