NYniner85 post-combine mock

First mock of the yr.... because of our amazing run this yr, I've been in overdrive with draft analyzing (my mock is a mixture of what I would like and what they might do).

Off season plans:

extend/resign/restructure:

AA-He will at the very least be tagged. I could see a 3 yr deal (a little cheaper now) giving him time to double dip while he's still in his prime.
Buck- He will get paid bank. No way around it. reliable and just a really damn good player. He's a guy I can see SF constantly restructuring to give them cap space (meaning they have no issues with keeping him on the team forever).
Tartt extend-Lowers the cap this yr. He's a good SS and knows this defense.
Juice extend-Juice makes the run game go. He also lowers the cap this yr. No reason to wait it out.
Jerick McKinnon-Restructure his contract to near nothing with incentives. He's not gonna get anything on the open market might as well show SF why they gave him that cash.
**Kittle he's gonna be a Niner for a long time BUT because of the CBA and how he's gonna reset the TE market...his agent might wait things out. Either way he's not going anywhere.

Cut/don't resign/trade:

Sanders-Love to have him stay. I don't think they can swing it though. Unless he takes a massive pay cut they should let him walk (sucks I know).
Ward-I think he will also command more cash then we want to pay. Look for him to the Browns with Joe Woods. I'm more than fine letting Moore get starter snaps at FS (possibly adding competition in the draft or FA).
Marquise Goodwin- Trade, still has elite speed and teams love that. Either a late day 3 pick or bundle him in a trade during the draft.
Tevin Coleman cut-team option for like $5M, see ya later.
Mark Nzeocha cut-team option for like $1.5M see ya.
Solomon Thomas trade-sell him for a bag of chips. Save about $4M.

FA:

I got nothing here lol. Only thing I can see happening is if a older vet get's cut and wants to pop on a championship caliber team for not a ton of cash

Draft

I won't be shocked if they move down a couple times (like Seattle did)…..

#31 trade** Miami moves up to get a OT that's still left on the board (Jones/Jackson) SF get's 39 and 70. They get 31 and 157.

#39 trade** Colts move up for either a WR/QB and they give up pick 122.

#44-Cesar Ruiz C/G Michigan- Best IOL prospect. He might not be here BUT there's just better overall prospects IMO. Powerful and athletic and is a day 1 starter at RG.
Maurkice Pouncey is my comp. IOL upgraded.

#70 Michael Pittman Jr. WR USC- We could probably move down from here and still get him. I loved what I saw from him on film and I wanted to wait to see his numbers at the combine. He put up great numbers. Great hands/monster catch radius/good ball-skills. Very good deep ball catcher. He's not a burner (which is what we truly need) BUT he's damn good WR overall. Great in the RZ, loves to block and play ST
my comp is Allen Robinson

#122 Michael Ojemudia CB Iowa- Has size to play CB in this scheme. He ran a 4.45 which was his knock (speed). He's a scheme specific zone coverage DB. They didn't play much man at Iowa. He's very smart/savvy with good anticipation. He's ideal for C3.
comp Joshua Jackson/Tre Flowers.

#177Alex Highsmith EDGE Charlotte-Killed it vs subpar OTs. Has speed to power. He's a nickel edge rusher with good speed/bend. He would be that wide 9 burner good depth/rotation.
I don't really have a comp for him I have seen Markus Golden.

#210 Darrynton Evans appalachian state RB- They will always add a RB in the off season. Moving on from Coleman creates a hole. Appalachian State is a heavy OZ running team. This kid is a one-cut burner. RB late is the way to go.

#218 Geno Stone S Iowa- Not an amazing athlete and poor measurables YET he's always around the ball. Great in zone coverage. He's just a football player and will start on ST at the very least IMO.

First of a couple more mocks....

what ya'll think?

Love all the picks except for Pittman tbh. It's not that I think he's bad or anything but if we're drafting a WR I'd want one with a different skill set than we already have. Just my opinion.

But I'm very high on Stone.

Ruiz would be awesome but I wouldn't sacrifice a top WR for him.

Good job.
Really good mock. Like all the offseason moves except jettisoning Sanders. After seeing his effect on the rest of the WR corps, I would rather not lose that leadership. Like how you cut the fat on the roster by jettisoning some of the other veterans that are excess baggage. Solid draft across the board. Might want to switch where you take a Safety or a WR. There is so much more value all the way through the WR class than the safety class. Nice work.

I do like a lot of the players you got no question. My only questions would be at FS and a veteran WR. Is Moore ready to step up as a starter as Free Safety? I am worried about our receivers as god forbid if Deebo missed any time we would be screwed.

Thanks. I understand what you're saying...he's not super explosive but you telling me you're passing Arob 2.0

He's actually a pretty good deep threat WR. Runs a 4.5 at like 225LBs is legit. Second best 20 yard shuttle among all WRs and 4th best 3-cone (under 7 secs)

If sanders is resign then yeah I guess they can go WR later. End of the day I think someone offers him more than we do.

I'm not sure why everyone is bypassing Moore at FS? Kid has elite athletic ability and measurables. He needs actual snaps and time to learn.

Thanks for the feedback

I mean at some point you gotta play the guys you drafted. They spent a top 100 pick on a elite talent in Moore. His first season they tried converting him to CB which imo was a mistake. I'm fine giving up some great tackling ability for ball-hawk skills.

I want Sanders back just want our young guys signed more.

I felt the same thing reading it. Though I'm ok with Ruiz as our first pick in that scenario.

I recommend going back and watching Pittman jr. he's a lynch/shanny guy for sure

I wouldn't say anyone is bypassing Moore as he would be the first man up if Ward walks. I just think the Niners could use more coverage options back there that will generate more turnovers than Ward and Tartt did this year. I'm just being greedy at this point.

That's fair.

I will say Ward has never really been a turnover guy (2 ints in his career) I think Moore will be a upgrade there.

I don't hate Pittman just don't see Kyle liking him as much with those early picks but could def be wrong. His numbers were pretty shocking given his size but similar to Mims I don't think he plays as fast as he timed.
I like your mock NY

Boy I disagree on that. If you're looking at numbers he's one of the only WRs that fits what kyle likes...

Kid can run routes, he's got real downfield play making ability (think mike Evans from that aspect), is tough, is all football, can block.

I obviously like other guys a little more. But I think they're gonna go for value (depending on trade downs of course).
