Ultimate Trade Back Mock Draft

49ers Trade Pick #13 and #156 to Minnesota for Pick #22, #58 and #132

49ers Trade Pick #22 to Indianapolis for Pick #34 and #75

49ers Trade Pick #31 to Houston for Pick #40 and #90

49ers 2020 Draft
Pick #34: OL Ezra Cleveland Boise St. 6'6" 310
Athletic O-lineman who can start at OG and kick outside to eventually replace Joe Staley. Has been steadily rising in draft process.

Pick #40: DT Ross Blacklock TCU 6'3" 290
Disruptive, penetrator who is an ideal 3-technique to take Buckner's spot on passing downs.

Pick #58: WR Michael Pittman USC 6'4" 223
The most underrated WR in the draft. Huge, smooth and hyper-productive. Despite his size, Pittman is not a stiff; he had some of the best agility scores at the combine.

49ers Trade Picks #75 and #90 to Baltimore for Picks #60 and #129

Pick #60: CB Bryce Hall Virginia 6'1" 202
Long-limbed ball hawk who should excel in 49ers Cover-3 scheme.

Pick #129: Best available TE or S
Pick #132: Best available TE or S or OL

I disagree. If we end up with Ezra Cleveland as our first pick in the draft with our current picks I will lose my sh*t and join the mob in the John Lynch thread.

Thankfully I'm confident we wouldn't do anything of the sort.

I will add that I like the other 3 guys he has us selecting but when you have 13th pick and 31 that's not a great haul at all.

Trading down is fine...but getting trade raped in the process is a no thanks from me.

I checked all the trades for value, and they're all pretty even. It's not so much as a trade back draft, it's more of a trade around draft.

For all that moving around, I would be hoping for a better haul of players. Interior offensive line is a bigger need than OT so I would hope for Ruiz or Hennessy at #34. I like the Blacklock and Hall picks but not Pittman. Feels like a reach.
Don't worry Mike86. I love it as a scenario. People will have their players or positions they are hoping for. Mostly likely we will take one of the top 3 WR's. We might end up with two good players. Make it three if we trade down from 31.
When we first got 13, I thought about this scenario where we trade down with both picks and end up with four top guys in round 2 and 3. Maybe the WR we want is gone at 13 and we need to do this also.
I've been focused on getting another center high too, but i am starting to feel they have faith in Richburg to recover.
Ezra is someone I could see they targeting to replace Staley for sure.
Blacklock is a great fit to replace Buckner. We visited with both these guys.
Pittman is my fav WR. He's who I wanted till we got 13 and figured Shanny will like Ruggs more. Replaces Sanders.
Hall would be a good pick to replace Sherman in a year.
Four top guys would really set us up to stay at the top for a long time.

no way we don't get any first round talent!

Trade 1. What he has us picking up from Vikings is 10 points less than #13 on its own. He has us throwing in our high 5th rounder. That's basically giving them a low 4th round pick in value to trade back out of the top 15/20. Sorry but if a team wants to move up into the top 13 they shouldn't be the ones coming up on top of the trade value.

Trade 2. #22(780) we're picking up 2 picks worth 775 while giving up the 5th year option and pushing us out of the first round in the process. Giving up a low 6th/high 7th rounder in the move.

Trade 3 is the only one that make sense since we're getting 40 points of value but giving up the 5th year option in the process which is pretty key and why teams end up overpaying in trade value to make the move...which is why Trade 2 is really bad.

I understand people want to recoup picks in the 2nd-4th rounds but it's not a must. There are lots of talented players...certainly at 13 who could help us immediately. We're not desperate to move down so taking less to do so just doesn't make sense.
Start a draft with two first round picks, get no actual first round talent.
