Sorry, that's gonna be a no from me dawg. I like some of the players you took but HATE giving up a future 1st round pick.
What in the fuk?

I don't wanna be mean but that is awful.

I prefer Ruggs at 13 but Jeudy is just fine.

But then you not only lose me...you leave me in the woods naked and crying for mommy.

You trade away our 1st rounder next year and a 3rd in 2022 for Ezra Cleveland????(I don't see KC making that move since it doesn't help them this year at all)

And then you have us taking a linebacker....and replacing Kwon after one year when he's the hype man for the D with numerous other needs.

Sigh...

I guess kudos for being different.
Not a hotboy I take it 🤷‍♂️

Not just a 2021 1st round pick..................a 2022 3rd round pick, as well. The Niners made the DeFo trade to get draft capital and cap flexibility from now into the future. Why would they blow two future high round picks for Ezra Cleveland? Definitely not the best use of their resources.

Besides that, most of the picks are for positions that are NOT of immediate need, except Jerry Jeudy. Niners NEED WR'S (plural), interior offensive lineman, a blocking TE, and a DT to compete for the vacant DeFo spot. Unless something happens with Staley during this lockdown, they won't need an OT till next year. Same thing with CB and S.

I don't think teams are trading 2020 1s for 2021 1s straight up, but it's just a guess of what would be realistic, the extra 3rd doesn't really matter.

I think Cleveland is a great fit for our offense, just needs to bulk up. And if Staley retires after next season we would be using that very late 1st on an OT either way, so we're just getting him a year early. And speaking of Staley, this move is exactly what we did when we drafted him in '07.

I disagree about interior OL being needed. Our run game was best in the league. The only weak link was Person, who will be replaced with Brunskill. And Lynch/Shanahan have been pretty good at finding guys later/cheaper who fit their system.

I disagree about another WR being a need. Jeudy, Deebo, Bourne, Hurd, Taylor, James, Pettis, Goodwin, Benjamin. That's good depth, and again Shanahan will get some UDFAs to add to that depth.

Blocking TE, I have us signing Delane Walker after the draft. (edit: + hopefully Hurd stays healthy and is used as WR/TE hybrid.

DT I have us signing Damon Harrison (or Dareus or Daniels or whoever) after the draft. Also I think we have some depth on the DL with young talent that hasn't really been given a chance yet.

CB on the other hand I absolutely do think we need this year. I think Moseley is a starter in this league but if one them go down, we're stuck with Witherspoon. And S, that's more for STs, but Marcell Harris filling in for Tartt last year was a weakness.

man you guys are really hooked on this extra 3rd, I'll edit it out....

I actually thought if I just did a 1st for a 1st in 2021 people would say THAT would be unrealistic

I would be cool with Ruggs over Jeudy, you can make a case for either. Ruggs would do wonders for our already dominate run game. But Jeudy is going to be open a lot in the is offense and that would really help Jimmy out.

Already explained the Ezra Cleveland thing in the post above.

As for Kwon, that's for the salary cap more than anything. That and the fact that Dre Greenlaw looks like he's going to be pretty good. But right now we're at $14m in cap, rookies are gonna cost $8m, so that's $6m and we have to extend Kittle. And then we have several starters next off-season hitting FA. Kwon's cap hit is 4.5 this year, but then 16, 16 the next two seasons. I love Kwon and his energy, and it would probably be down to either him or Ford, but I think Ford is too valuable. Also, Lynch has made this move before with McGlinchey/Trent Brown.

and I explained my reason for the needs in my previous post

Thank you for the kudos

I'm sorry you guys didn't like it, I'm just really bored

Jeudy over Riggs is easy to see. Not the reverse. Seperation translates the best. Route running translates the best. And he is far above the other top two in route running. Not even close

Jeudy vs. Ruggs is just a question of whether you want the WR with the highest floor or the WR with the highest ceiling. Separation is important. Jeudy arguably gets a little more separation because he's a more polished route runner. Ruggs has far more physical tools than Jeudy and if he develops as a route runner, he will be able to get more separation than Jeudy in addition to having better hands and threatening defenses with his speed.

There's a very good chance Ruggs ends up being a better pro than Jeudy even though Jeudy was the better college player. I also don't think they're far apart now as college players - Jeudy was the preferred target of Tua and was the go-to receiver on most plays even though he was the least productive of the Alabama WRs per target.
Da f**k
They can not trade LB Kwon Alexander or Dee Ford this year because of cap number. They can let both of them go next year and they would be ok.

Not the same at all. Brown wasn't a great scheme fit and wasn't a great cultural fit thus wasn't going to get a LTD.

Kwon is a tremendous locker room fit and scheme fit. He is the heart and soul of our defense, you don't replace the year he had here one year into his contract. That sends a bad message to the locker room.
