*Bottomline:
Offense:
Jimmy G's final chance to make it or break it with an upgraded OL and healthy weapons. If he doesn't make it, the team needs to move on from him. Could trade the farm next year for a FQB if Jimmy doesn't pan out. At least the OL and offensive weapons are set by then.

Defense:
New DC might add his own little twist to the defensive scheme like Saleh did with Pete Carroll's system. Drafting heavy on defense should give him the benefit, the talent, and the help that he needs to be successful in his first season. Demeco seems like an aggressive type of guy from when he played, he might call the game like how he would play it. Having loads of Pass Rushers should do him good.
Why so early and young on the secondary?
Long term investment. It's basically a new system for almost everyone no matter if they coming in through FA or draft. Why not put rookie talents back there and let them grow with the system. They have Verrett and Ward as veterans to guide them. The more they grow the better they build chemistry with each other. The Pass Rush should help the young secondary if stays healthy. Their chemistry and communication should be on point in 3 or more years of playing together.

*Apologies for the long post. Lehhss Goooo Niners!!

Not bad but I don't think a team like the Jets would give up 5 picks lol. They are rebuilding and need those picks.

Thanks for your feedback. As for the Jets, they're actually only giving up 3 picks since they're getting back pick #12(Kyle Pitts) and a 5th(2022). They could get extra picks if they decide to trade Donald and and go with one of the top rookie QBs. Pairing Wilson/Fields or even Donald with Kyle Pitts is a no brainer move I think they'd do in a heartbeat and have no problem giving up 3 picks for. Jets new OC is from KS's coaching tree who loves their TEs.
I love this, pretty close to my backup plan if we can't get a QB to groom.

I don't think we need to add Reddick, seems like a costly luxury. I'd rather bring back the much cheaper Hyder, and then see what the rookies can do.

Love it overall though.
Like the players. First three picks are excellent. Kinda with Big Mac, would rather resign Hyder than Reddick. Wondering if Roche is more of a 3-4 OLB given his size at 240, could maybe be rotational though. Maybe a little low on Wade as well.
But solid overall
Appreciate the feedback guys. I understand how you guys feel about Reddick, but having a SAM LB that's also good at getting to the QB was key to me. He doesn't have to come off the field on Nickle packages all the time and we can mix things up with him. Can never have enough pass rushers especially with how the team's health has been for the past few years. He won't cost an arm and a leg like other big name players out there. I am also tired of seeing Al-Shaair(#51) whiffed on tackles and missing his assignments.
Dee Ford came into the league as a 3-4 OLB for the Chiefs and he transitioned well(minus the injuries) to being a hand on dirt Edge player when they switched to 4-3 under Reid. Roche is a similar type of player who played well with his hand on dirt at Temple and Miami, the NFL strength and conditioning program should help him gain muscle mass that he needs while playing the backup rotational pass rusher for a couple of years.
As for Wade, he had a bad NCG but can't deny his talent. He played well in the slot CB in his first two years before moving to the outside this past season. He can continue to play in the slot CB position where he's comfortable and give him time to sharpen his tools for a outside role in the future, hopefully.

Nice offseason ideas for free agents in Reddick and Mack. Two decent signings which should be a reasonable investment after re-signing all the existing roster FA's.

In regards to the draft, you draft FOUR Edge/DL. That's overkill no matter how you slice it especially after adding Reddick. Would much rather have anyone else but Wade as a DB. Adding a hybrid S/LB, another big CB like Adebo or Keith Taylor, and a IDL would be better for the roster in the long run.

Appreciate the feedback man. Yeah come to think about it, it is a little overkill on drafting a lot of Edge Rushers.. lol. I was going with the thought of Sample playing a similar role as AA who could move to the inside on obvious passing downs where he beats interior OLmens with his quickness and speed as seen a lot on tape and concreted at the Senior Bowl. I was also going by the motto of "you can never have enough Pass Rushers" especially with our team's health this past few seasons. It was a big dropoff when Ford's explosiveness and speed wasn't on the field, even Bosa's rushes weren't always effective without Ford's speed to avoid the QB running away from Bosa, so I figured to solve that problem and if one or two goes down at least we have a 3rd and 4th option to help maintain the Pass Rushing pressure on QBs.
I had Adebo as my CB over Wade but changed it since I had already drafted A.Samuel as my outside guy, Wade excelled in the Slot CB position and that's the reason why I picked him in case K'Waun Williams walks. Like I stated in the post above, he had a bad NCG, but he has the length and talent to succeed in the next level, just need time to develop and he can do that while playing Slot CB for a few years more. I also drafted S.Jolly in the 7th who I think is very underrated to compete both on the outside and slot CB position, he's similar to K'Waun Williams and plays the same way as him, very sticky in coverage.
I like the offseason you put together but I felt Reddick is overkill with drafting two edges and I would like a developmental QB like Mills on day 3.

Tbh, I'm not really high on the QB class other than the top 5 QBs this year, not so impressed with the others, I don't see even a quality backup especially on day 3. I'd rather sign Dustin Crum as a UDFA to compete as a backup than spend a draft pick on a backup QB who might or might not make it. Josh Rosen is already resigned to be the backup IMO, KS will try to work his magic on him, after all he was drafted in the top 10 in 2018 for a reason.
If Jimmy G can't be successful with these weapons and an upgraded OL, then move on from him and trade the farm for an elite QB or college prospect next season. If he does, still draft a QB very high next season to sit behind him for the future while the OL and offensive weapons are already set.
And I'm still gonna stick by my "Can't never have enough quality Pass Rushers on the team." Lol.. I'd take Reddick-Warner-Greenlaw over Al-Shaair-Warner-Greenlaw anyday of the week and twice on Sundays. Al-Shaair whiffed too much for my liking and missed too many assignments. Reddick can move down to rush the passer instead of going out on some Nickle pressure packages. Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it.
