Justin's "stick with Jimmy" Mock

Notable Cuts:
- C Weston Richburg
- DE Dee Ford
- LB Mark Nzeocha

After cuts, Im estimating just below $50M in cap space

Resign:

- T Trent Williams (3 years, $20M avg per year): One of the best tackles in the league. If we want to keep Garappolo healthy, this is a must resign.
- CB Jason Verrett (2 years, $6M avg per year): We took a chance on him and it worked out. Lets lock him up for the next two years.
- CB K'waun Williams (2 years, $5M avg per year): One of the most solid slot guys there is.
- DE Solomon Thomas (1 year, $1.5M): I hate making excuses but this guy in 4 years dealt with his sister/BFF committing suicide, coaching staffs switching his roles, and an injury. He was finally putting things together last year before he tore his ACL. Bring him in on a low risk, high reward deal.
- CB Emannuel Moseley (2nd round tender, 1 year 3.3M): Great depth
- TE Ross Dwelley: Done deal. Not sure what the details are
- S Marcell Harris: Done deal. Not sure what the details are
- OT Daniel Brunskill: Guy can play every position. Tender him and have him be the main backup
- DT DJ Jones: Outstanding rotational guy. Will give Kinlaw a breather and maybe even pair up with him on rundowns
- DE Dion Jordan: Cheap deal. Speed guy that provide some support in relief and has experience with our squad.

FA signings:
- C Alex Mack (1 year $5M): Makes too much sense.

- LB Vic Beasley: Bring him in on a one year prove it deal. We will throw him in at Strong side LB and give him pass rush opportunities. Shanahan got see him day-to-day during their time in ATL.

Trade: Trade 2nd round pick to Patriots for CB Stephon Gilmore

1st Round: Trade to the #19 with Washington so they can jump ahead of the Patriots to nab Mac Jones. We get the #19 and #51
49ers select USC OG Alijah Vera-Tucker
- Great scheme fit and will fill a major hole on the right side. McGlinchey has struggled lately so I think giving him someone reliable next to him will help.

2nd Round (from the WFT)
49ers select Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore
- My draft crush of 2021. Dude reminds me a Tyreek Hill. Top notch route running and has the speed to make the best corners in the league look silly. He also is a YAC guy.

3rd Round
49ers select Miami DE Quincey Roche
- We got big strong DEs so this gives us a raw speed guy on the edge to develop. If he doesn't pan out on the end, I think he could make a good SLB as well.

4th Round
49ers select Minnesota CB Benjamin St. Juste
- Tall press corner that fits our scheme. We have already been in contact with him.

5th Round
49ers select Washington CB Elijah Molden
- We need a backup for K'wuan and a possible future replacement.

5th Round
49ers select Virginia Tech S Devine Deablo
- Developmental guy at the safety position

6th Round
49ers select Kansas RB Pooka Williams
- We have already expressed interest in him. Small speedy guy who catch. Will compliment our current stable.

7th Round
49ers select Grambling State OG David Moore
- Total sleeper. Division 2 guy but worth a 7th round talent.

7th Round
49ers select USC WR Tyler Vaughns
- Bit of a homer pick because I also went to Bishop Amat HS and use to see him play on Friday Nights. But I've seen this kid dominate and I don't feel like USC utilized his talents enough from what I saw at Bishop.

QB: J.Garappolo / J.Rosen
RB: R.Mostert / J.Wilson / J.Hasty/ P.Williams
WR: B.Ajuik / D.Samuel/ E.Moore / J.Hurd / R.James / J.Jennings / T.Vaughns
TE: G.Kittle / R.Dwelley / C.Woerner
OT: T.Williams / M.McGlinchey / S.Coleman / D.Brunskill / J.Skule
OG: L.Tomlison / A.Vera-Tucker / C.McKivitz/ D.Moore
C: A.Mack

DE: N.Bosa / A.Armstead / S.Thomas / Q.Roche / D.Jordan
DT: J.Kinlaw / K.Givens / D.Jones
LB: F.Warner / D.Greenlaw / A.Al-Shaair / V.Beaseley
CB: S. Gilmore / J. Verrett / E.Moseley / K.Williams / E.Molden / B.St Juste
S: J.Ward / T.Moore / O.Melifonwu / M.Harris / D.Deablo

ST: J.Pepper / R.Gould / M.Wichnowski

You think K Williams is going to get 15 million a year ? And while I do love your draft and it's on point I don't think Roche last until our pick in the 3rd and Molden last until the 5th. Would be great tho, thanks for the mock !

Haha sorry, meant $5M per year. I fixed it.

Yeah, I think there a big chance they could go before. Those two picks are a bit optimistic but I think their is a chance Roche and Molden slide due to their size.

If so I'd love it, they are 2 of my fav players at their position.

Yeah, I think they could both be top 5 - 10 in their position in a year or two. I would be willing to use 2022 draft capital to jump up and get them.
I think Molden goes in the 2nd.
Nice job I like it
Nice, but I think you should've drafted a C to groom behind Mack if we're signing him for only a year.

Yeah, I would of liked to do that as well. In 2021, I would imagine Brunskill being the main backup C and maybe giving some reps to the 7th round OG David Moore.
Gilmore for a 2nd? Why? In his last yr of his contract coming off IR and is 31? Dude is a man cover CB and we play zone. Pass

how you getting $50M off just cutting those 3 guys? Hell no to Beasley.

Love the guys you picked in the draft, what did you use for a big board? Elijah Molden Isn't lasting until the 5th rd. Top 50 pick imo.

also if you're riding out with Jimmy they need a legit backup.
No jordan reed and no Hyder makes me sad. Also getting a speedster In moore doesn't really help with jimmy throwing the ball.

I like the mock though
Don't agree with re-signing Solly, but the rest of free agency is solid.

Agree with Jersey about Molden not lasting till the fifth round. Taking two WR's seems like a bit much, but the rest of your draft is solid. Getting a Jimmy Morrisey from Pitt or a guy like Ben Petrula from BC as long term C options would be my pick late.

I like Gilmore alot. I still think he is a top 3 corner in the league. He has played man but alot of analysts are saying that he would perform better in the zone as he ages. The compensation that I gave up for him too is less than what I have been seeing, because I agree with you that he isnt nearly as valuable as he was a year or two ago. But the compensation Ive been seeing was a 1st straightup or a second + JimmyG. I mean the patriots have one of the largest cap spaces in the league so they dont need to get rid of Gilmore.

Those were just notable cuts but adding in savings from other low level guys will create more space. I used the overthecap calculator and came up at $47M. By the end I had about $9M left in cap space.

Beasley is someone who I am not banking on doing much but Im looking at it like a high rewarded low risk signing.

I looked at various 7-round mock drafts and tried to throw in some speculations of my mine. For example, Elijah Moore is slotted in the 3rd in most mock drafts but I think he is going in the second. But yeah, starting realize i pushed Elijah Molden too far down.

Im hoping that revamping the O-line will help JimmyG stay so im banking on that. Also, Ive always been a big fan of Rosen. I think he can be a legit backup in Shanahan's system with a great team around him.

I like Hyder and Reed but I feel like the Dwelley signing signaled the departure of Reed and Im afraid of what Hyder's price tag will be on the open market. I dont want to get into a bidding war for him.

I think Moore will help out Jimmy alot. His speed can stretch the field and open up the middle of the field for those slant passes that Jimmy likes so much.

Thanks man. This is my first mock of the offseason so I need to work out some kinks, but I appreciate all the input from you guys. It will help with my second mock for sure
