Notes:

I will go in-depth more about my thought process and my own critiques of my mock draft but I just needed to get this first one out before FA. I think this is my favorite scenario I can come up with trading down several times getting the value I want. My first mock always involves lots of trades and then I try to get more realistic as we approach the draft. I believe we will draft safety and runningback higher than most would normally assume. There are only a couple of edge rushers in this class that I like at the range in which I think they will get drafted. On the other hand, there are many safties and corners I would be happy with selecting in each round.

Let me know what you think.

Sorry I'm gonna be a little nit picky here but the Jets have 23 overall and not 28 overall. Also New Orleans have 98 overall but I don't think they have 105 overall too. You have maybe mixed up the Jets and Saints on some of these picks.

As for the draft I like a lot of the players you have selected. I'd be curious to see your free agent signings though (especially at edge). Without the free agency, I would say draft an edge player instead of either Samuel Jr or Molden, that's just me though.

Im intrigued to check out some of the later round prospects you chose!
Ihmir Smith-Marsette hive
I feel this is the way to go in this draft there is a lot of talent in this draft. If they don't resign Trent they may have to take a tackle early but can still move down a little. I see this draft with a couple moves down as an opportunity to restock the shelves and free up the salary cap and draft options in the future. with an infusion of youth this team could be on top for several years.

I literally wrote something a while ago how I hate all these conflicting draft boards and I got confused. Lol I'll fix it soon thanks.

I had Quincy Roche in my draft for a long time but I just don't think he's a better player than Molden.

I know we need more pass rush but I don't like to draft to fill needs. I still think we can resign everyone I mentioned and Kerry Hyder.

I was mistaken on the fact that New Orleans did in fact get two 3rd round comp picks. So that trade still works
I do like the guys you drafted overall, don't like moving down at all though (unless QB isn't an option).

Samuel and Molden are a bit redundant imo both seem best in the slot.

Same with the IOL guys. Like them both a lot but are both kinda redundant. I don't see the point in going for both.

waiting until the 7th to get a WR in this draft? Man that's just not right.

Man I'm just not feeling this mock.. sorry my dude.

A. Samuel Jr absolutely is an outside corner. If you think otherwise you haven't watched enough of his film.

The only issue with redundant picks would be that you can't get them on the field at the same time and that doesn't apply to any selection I made.

I project Meinerz at center and Green at guard. Even if they both ended up at guard it's not like we're committed to Tomlinson 4 years from now. In my opinion, if we don't draft multiple interior lineman in this draft we'll be making a huge mistake.

I had us selecting several different WRs while making this mock but you can't fix everything.

I've watched him, not a ton this yr. He can play outside (has some Brent Grimes in his game) I won't be shocked if teams feel like inside might be where he ends up. I couldn't be wrong there. I just see value later for some good zone DBs. Love Molden, slot only dude, but just so smart. He's gonna be a steal for some team.

I can't see SF starting a DIII center who hasn't played football in a yr in his rookie yr. I love what I saw at the Senior bowl, but I can honestly say I haven't watched anything outside of that.

love Green. He's my IOL guy I keep going back to in every mock, value meets need and fit. I also expect them to extend Tomlinson.

I'd replace RB with a WR.

your mock, just given ya a little crap

I wouldn't have it any other way.

It really wouldn't shock me if we drafted a RB before a WR this year. IMO you only draft a RB in the 3rd if you think he can be a top 5 RB in the NFL. That's exactly what I think Trey Sermon can be. Our key to success has always been running the football and I think he adds an element we don't have.
I like a lot of guys you picked, but I prefer the star power available at 12. I'd rather stay there and back our ability to find 5th round contributers over moving around.

I always do a trade down mock first to see how much I could maximize my perceived value within the class.

I really want us to be the best running team in the NFL again (offensive line and RB) and add speed and playmaking ability in the secondary. Nothing is worse than seeing RW carve up corners that fall down every play.

My next mock I'm not trading down.

What element does Sermon have that we don't already have in a healthy back field with Mostert (speed), Wilson (power), Hasty (shiftiness). If Sermon is all three then I'm on board--I just don't enough of him except the two games from the college football playoffs.
I think Shanalynch have been very successful in getting I drafted players so that would be helpful to consider for your next draft.
I don't have an issue with the players but the trade(which had been brought up) I wouldn't hate 23/34 from Jets tho.

I also personally wouldn't go so DB heavy early on. There's great depth in this class and I'd use one of those early picks on DE.
