43. Peyton Turner, Houston, Edge. Turner fights to end of every rep. Churns hands and feet.
102. Benjamin St. Juste, Minnesota, Cornerback. Great at maintaining connection on verticals. Only two deep catches allowed in his career.
117. Tommy Tremble, Notre Dame, Tight End. Elite locating in space in the run game. Like a predator stalking its prey.
155. Simi Fehoko, Stanford, Wide Receiver. A size-speed combination that is unrivaled in the class. Great at sideline catches.
172. Trill Williams, Syracuse, Cornerback. Easy mirror ability. Can change direction for a taller player.
180. Christian Uphoff, Illinois State, Safety. Named top safety on the National Team for the Senior Bowl practices. Special Teams.
194. Elijah Mitchell, Louisiana, Running Back. Ticks the speed and burst boxes you want to see for an NFL back. Replaces Mostert on Special Teams.
230. Daelin Hayes, Notre Dame, Edge. Reaction rusher. Can see him processing in real time and altering moves.
I had a really hard time trying to figure out what to do with the second round pick. Edge ended up being the answer. Who besides Nick and Arik can rush? Another decision I made was selecting bigger players, if there two were similar players, especially at wide receiver, running back, edge, and cornerback.
There were a few player interviews I listened to on the 2 for 1 drafts podcast that made want to draft them; Trill Williams, Tommy Tremble, Kendrick Green, Brady Christensen, Joe Tryon, Osa Odighizuwa, and safety Richie Grant.
The 49ers need a guard and a safety, but the players I liked at those positions, I not could figure out and justify getting them.
Enjoy.
