I like it
but dont see the point of getting a CB with the first second if were getting Gordon in Fa and resigning Verrett

Roster would be much improved, but unfortunately, Austin DEFINITELY won't be there, and neither will Jones or likely not Dulcich either

This would make for a great offseason. One question about free agency:
You have both Verrett and Tartt on the roster but they will both be free agents. Are you planning on re-signing and paying both injury prone DB's this offseason?
Which site's draft sim did you use? Like the draft a lot but agree with adrianlesnar that Dulcich and Austin will be long gone by the time you have them in your mock. Like the idea of Austin in place of Rashaad White in the third and then the Niners can add a RB/OW late where they have been the most successful. Niners definitely need a return specialist, but not two. Would rather add a young safety in the draft as opposed to two Edge rushers (Thomas is DE/Edge).
Overall, nice work.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.
I see Thomas, Gordon and Lenoir as the future. Verrett is a great CB when healthy he could be resigned for cheap on a one year prove it deal. Having those 3 young players sit behind Gilmore, Verrett and Moseley could push them to be at their best when it's their time to take over. CB has been our weakest link for some time and I just want a solid starting group and great depth that could become starters in the future. Verrett's health is always an issue but he's great when he's on the field.
After Senior bowl week, Austin, Jones and Dulcich all improved their draft stocks. I kept running this mock through PFF Mock Simulator and came up with the same results, so I just rolled with it but I definitely agree those 3 could go way higher than those draft positions I had them at. I would love it if it goes this way though.
Yes I should've included my Re-signed players list in this mock.
Re-sign:
(LG) L.Tomlinson
(RB) R.Mostert
(DT) DJ Jones
(DL) A.Key
(CB) J.Verrett
(S) J.Tartt
I wanted to keep the defense intact with the addition of a solid CB Gilmore. They have great chemistry and already playing at a high level towards the 2nd half of the season. Keeping them together and picking up where they left off with Gilmore and a healthy Verrett at CB should definitely take this defense to a higher probably elite level.
I used the PFF Mock Simulator for the majority of my mocks. Rashad White is a player I visualized using similar to Deebo's new role, imo he's the best receiving back in the draft, he could spare Deebo a breather when needed without changing the playcalls. I also drafted 2 speedy WRs that are return specialists, Niners are in desperate need of a good return specialist, we cannot afford to have Deebo and Aiyuk back there risking injuries. Hoping one of the two or both will star in that category which was one of our biggest needs.
Isaiah Thomas played well at DE for OU the last 2 years. This past season they moved him around the DL and he really took off with it. Kind of similar to what the Niners did with A.Key in the middle of the season. Thomas excelled rushing from the inside using his quickness, speed and strength against iOLs. I'm a believer of you can never have enough pass rushers to create havoc up front, and I'm also starting to use that with CBs as well.

Would be extremely pleased with your mock and offseason, 808.
