Trades - Jimmy Garoppolo for Broncos 2nd and 4th round pick. DEN will still have 7 choices, including the Rams 2nd round pick.

Resign -

UFA: Tomlinson, Tartt, Willis
RFA: Al-Shaair, Brunskill
ERFA: All

Release - Ebukam, Ford (Post June 1st)

Extend - Samuel, Bosa (2023 cap hits)

Free Agency -

Key Signings: Donte Jackson (CB, CAR), Tyrod Taylor (QB, HOU)
Cap Cuts: Kyle Rudolph (TE, NYG), Trey Flowers (DE, DET), Michael Pierce (NT, MIN)

NFL Draft:

R2: Nicholas Petit-Frere - T - Ohio St. (via DEN)
*Good scheme fit and potential upgrade to RT vs. McGlinchey. We explore trading McGlinchey after the draft if he's healthy.

R2: Arnold Ebiketie - EDGE - Penn St.
*Explosive edge rusher that takes over Ebukam and Ford's role as a 3rd down pass rusher. Solid depth w. Willis as our tier 2 rotation.

R3: Eomeo Doubs - WR - Nevada
*Great size and speed for the position. Can push vertically to help stretch the field. Also develop as a gunner on special teams.

R3: Coby Bryant - CB - Cincinatti (comp)
*He can flex outside or inside, Bryant will push Moseley and Thomas for a starting spot.

R4: Cole Strange - T/G/C - Chattanooga (via DEN)
*Saw snaps at C during the senior bowl. Smaller school, but HUGE upside. Successor to Alex Mack IMO, but could start at RG year 1.

R4: Chad Muma - LB - Wyoming
*Given Greenlaw and Al-Shaair's last years on their contract, we need to infuse the LB position with more depth. Muma is a good value pick here.

R5: Tyler Goodson - RB - Iowa
*Sneaky under the radar player that has experience lining up at RB and slot WR. He'd be a solid 3rd down back behind Mitchell and Sermon.

R6: Bo Melton - WR - Rutgers (via DEN)
*Getting some hype at the senior bowl, Melton can be a slot WR or get some snaps at WR ala Samuel.

R7: Tre Swilling - CB/S - Georgia St. (comp)
*Developmental depth in the secondary

R7: Stephen Carr - RB - Indiana (comp)
*Good sized RB that's a developmental depth, likely a PS candidate.

R7: Trae Baker - TE - Boston College (comp)
*Redzone threat and security blanket for Kyle Rudolph. Likely a PS candidate.

Post-Draft Moves:

Trade - Mike McGlinchey for Dolphins 2023 2nd round draft pick.
Resign - Jason Verrett for a 1 year deal

Depth Chart:

QB: Lance/Taylor*
RB: Mitchell/Sermon/Goodson*/Hasty (PS: Carr*)

I think Goodson would be a nice fit but anything without Mosert is tough to be on board with.
I like it alot! But no way in hell we get a 2nd for McGlinchey, but either way it doesnt impact your 2022 plan.

I love everything you did. But we have to be sure about the right side of your offensive line. If we don't upgrade that side we're not taking care of tray. Trey doesn't have the release Jimmy Dean so he needs more time. In the right side of online this season was anything but good

It said the other 2nd is from the Broncos for Jimmy.
That would be a f**king amazing offseason.

I should have clarified it's a conditional pick. 2nd - 4th round pick is probably his value range. MIA needs more OL help, and McGlinchey already knows the system. That's why I like the match.

Year 2 of Banks + drafting new RT + drafting new C/G should fortify the right side of the line, especially as I have us resigning Tomlinson.

Do you think further investment is needed? If so, we don't have much flexibility with the cap unfortunately.

I'm with you that drafting a swing C/OG and a RT should take care of the right side of the line. My question is, why draft the RT so early? Niners have a more pressing need in the secondary and they are already committed to McGlinchey for next year. I would think keeping Brunskill, Compton and then a later round developmental pick would be a better use of their resources at RT. Love the draft in general. Covers all the bases with some good prospects.

It's about building for the future. McGlinchey is likely gone after 2022 due to salary cap constraints. Williams + Tomlinson + McGlinchey money would be a HUGE allocation to the salary cap. We need to get younger and cheaper at the position.

Yes RT may not be an immediate need (pending McGlinchey's health), but it will eventually be a need. And if we can get an early day 2 pick for McGlinchey and shed $10M of cap at the same time, I'd do that if we have a replacement identified.

Don't know how reliable they are, but reports out of NY that jets aren't happy with Becton. If Saleh says "yeah, we'll trade you Becton for MM straight up", who says no?

I just hope the weight loss of banks makes him perform better than Brunskill. Brunskill is not a starter in the NFL. And with Trey starting next season we need to shore up the office of line

That makes a ton of sense. I get it.
I'd consider this a huge success if our offseason is similar to this. I'm a fan of NPF for our system. Not sure if MM will net us a 2nd round pick but he is a starting caliber tackle so it's possible.
Love the draft. If it played out that way, I would be ecstatic. I am always in favor of adding offensive lineman, so I love adding Petit-Frere and Strange. My favorite pick is probably Muma. I have doubts that he will last that far, but if he did, he is almost the ideal linebacker this day and age, athletic, rangy, with solid coverage ability.
