Jersey final mock

Cut

Ford ( possibly retire )

Jimmy G ( accept we can't get anything from him and pay our core guys with money saved, shows Trey there is no competition and it's his team going forward )

Free agents signed

slot CB Steven Nelson

Trades

61st, 6th rd, 3rd next year for the 48th pick
4th and 6th to move up in the 4th

2022 NFL DRAFT

Rd 2-DL out of Texas A&M Demarvin Leal, a lot might not like this pick but he's a former top 10 pick who is a monster, play and position on the DL, and beast doing all, not a pure speed rusher but can get to the QB from the edge.

Rd 3- S out of Oregon Verone McKinley, ball hawk, fights for a starting spot with Odum, Moore, Hufanga.

Rd 3- WR out of Clemson Justin Ross, is he's healthy, he's a problem, would've easily been a top 15 pick, just love having him, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle on the field at once for Trey

Rd 4- OL out of Nebraska Cam Jurgens, perfect scheme fit and slides into C once Mack's hangs them up

Rd 5- CB out of Oregon Mykeal Wright, obviously I was a big fan of the ducks secondary, him in the 5th could be a steal

Rd 6- OL out of Tennessee Cade Mays, former Bulldog who could play T or G, reminds me of Trey Smith last year and he's turning out well for KC

Rd 7- Edge out of Mcneese State, Isaiah Chambers, my sleeper at Edge, read about him, he's a special kid.
I'd be okay with this if we signed a FA Guard/Center with Nelson.

Leal would be a great insurance for Kinlaw (as well as a potential low cost replacement for Armstead), but is he worth that extra 3rd in 2023 we'd be tossing?

As well, wouldn't getting a Safety upgrade in 2nd be more valuable than the DL rotation depth? I do like Pitre out of Baylor more than McKinley.

Love the picks from Ross on, all fit big roles and talent. I wouldn't be mad if this was our draft, just need that extra FA OL pick up.

I think Leal will be, plus I'm thinking the 3rd we give away next year will be recouped bc Demeco will be a head coach.

Pitre will be gone by 48 I think and if McKinley is there at our 1st third rd pick I'd be surprised but I'm taking him.

Thanks for your opinions
If we move that far I'm all for getting Dax Hill. Also side note I'm a huge Michigan fan

Ahhhhh, Michigan. The 49ers of college football. Ultra tough and competitive but built on old school philosophy in a modern era that always fails in the end.

Both teams limited with bad QB play but some real hope for next season for both.
