Mike D's 2022 v1

My 1st mock of the season. No Trades

#61 Nik Bonitto, DE - I'm not sold on this pick but its BPA after looking at various draft boards. I'm in the minority here but I don't think Edge rusher is a big need. Between Ebuken, Willis, & Hyder I don't know if there will be a lot of opportunities to get on the field. Ebuken came on strong at the end of the year after being invisible the first half of the season. Anyways i just don't see a lot of value here at 61 at our biggest need (iOL) unless someone falls so its BPA for me here. We may can use this pick to trade down to ensure we get my next 2 selections.

#93 Cole Strange, iOL - He's been getting a lot of hype the past week so I'm not sure if he will make it towards the end of the 3rd where we select. To me he competes day 1 at starting guard but eventually becomes our center

#105 Nick Cross, S - I like him a lot and I'm not sure if he will be here but I think he can become a good starting safety.

# 134 Greg Dulcich, TE - I think he can come in and compete for the backup TE spot right away

#172 Spencer Burford, OL - He can play G and T. Could be a good swingman and potential starter later down the road

# 187 Samori Toure, WR - Seems to have the traits everyone loves. Dominated at the FCS level before transferring to Nebraska

#220 Tycen Anderson, CB - Small school corner who has the speed and size the 49ers covet. Played big nickel and could be moved to S

#221 Jerrod Clark, DT - Big space eater at small school. With the right coaching he could turn into something

#262 Keegan Cyder , C - Natural leader who started every game of his career. Could be a nice backup to have
That would be a nice draft. Bonitto would be a great developmental prospect as a designated pass rusher. Kids got speed but he needs to work on his technique. Strange and Cross are ideal picks for C/OG and S needs. Like all your early day 3 picks. Solid value with Dulcich, Burford and Anderson. Would rather have seen a RB to join the committee as opposed to a DT, but that's just an opinion. Solid mock.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah i had a RB slated in the 7th but i figured we could probably find one as an undrafted free agent. Plus they really need to use Sermon and Wilson more.

First pick needs to be a db. Nickel corner or ss, we still have downgraded at db. Even with the new ward. Oline and db is by far our biggest weakness. If we don't bring in somebody better than what we have a strong safety. We Well once again have the same weakness over and over again

I'm not disagreeing but draft boards fall in different ways and no DB was there at our first pick worth picking.

Also I'm not so sure we downgraded at db. Maybe a little. Ward is a huge addition and technically we only loss Tartt and K Williams who struggled in coverage at times plus he is past him prime.
