Welcome to my 2nd Version of the 49ers Too Early 2023 Mock Draft.

I did all 7 Rounds and would love to hear your thoughts on some of my picks!

My picks are listed below Round 3 - 100 Overall - Jaylon Jones CB Texas A&M - Depth at CB if Eman leaves with Demeco.
Round 3 - 102 Overall - Luke Wypler C Ohio State - Future Center, might not start right away but should compete.
Round 3 - 103 Overall - Xavier Thomas EDGE Clemson (Demeco Projected HC Job) - Depth at EDGE, only Bosa and Drake Jackson under contract for next season
Round 5 - 163 Overall - Theo Johnson TE Penn State - Athletic, former WR/TE Hybrid, with improved blocking can see significant time
Round 5 - 174 Overall - Calijah Kancey DT Pittsburgh - Depth at iDL, possible replacement for Kevin Givens
Round 6 - 217 Overall - Ainias Smith WR Texas A&M - Great weapon with the ball in his hands, improve route running and return from injury are concerns
Round 7 - 221 Overall - Justin Flowe LB Oregon - Injured a lot in college, highly recruited out of high school. Can we revive his career?
Round 7 - 243 Overall - Tavion Thomas RB Utah - Big physical runner, the kind of player we seem to be seeking in recent seasons.

Agree with all the positional targets for sure.

Justin Flowe entered the transfer portal and is staying in school. I think Kancey is going to be a top 75 pick.
Ainias Smith is one of the mid round WRs I like in this draft, Parker Washington from Penn State just declared. Like the centers this draft and some of the OTs in the 3rd. Might see 2 of those first picks used to trade up into the 75th ish range for someone they really like
I would definitely have some OL selections early in this class.
Depending on what happens in free agency with Jimmie Ward and Mike McFlinchey, Niners will have to decide what is the bigger need. It's either two picks to rebuild the secondary (S and CB) or two picks to fill the holes on the line of scrimmage (DT, OT and C). The skill positions of WR, RB and EDGE will have to wait until day three IMO.

Good to know about Justin Flowe, I wasn't aware of that. Kancey could very well go top 75ish but that still remains to be seen. Lot of pre-draft movement yet to happen!

Agreed that we need to target long term solutions at RT and C. There are some solid options in the middle to late rounds luckily. Ainias Smith has already become one of my draft crushes. Will be very curious how his pre-draft preparation and what not goes.

Nice one Shifty. Only quibble would be not getting a IOL who has some experience at Center. Especially like your secondary choices of Brents and Dean. Keep the content coming.
