The way things are going, if Sam Darnold and to a lesser extent Brandon Allen become serviceable QBs, and Purdy truly is the unquestioned starter, then i would try to trade Trey Lance. If it was up to me, I'd give Trey a chance to start and show what he has, but if Purdy is the week 1 starter, Treys value can't possibly go up. I think he'd be a perfect fit in Atlanta throwing to two big targets in London and Pitts with a high end running game to lean on. If it helps us to get in range for Jared Verse, I think that does more for our team than having him rotting away on the bench.

We'll see after the CFB and NFL seasons, but as it stands, I'd trade our 1st this year, next year, and Trey to move I to the top 10 to secure Verse. Picks 12, 29, 29, 32, and 32 is a lot to give up for one player, but Lance is already a sunk cost and Verse might be special, and the missing piece to rings 7, 8 and 9

I think the next few drafts will be salary cap drafts, will have to replace unaffordable contracts especially once we are off the rookie QB deals
