Coaching Staff Changes -
*Wilks remains for another year, but we beef up our DBs coaching staff. In addition, HOU's Slowik poaches a few offensive coaches - Lynn, Kubiak, and Hankerson - to build his staff as he secures a HC gig. Griese retires from coaching.

New Asst HC / WRs Coach: David Shaw (former HC, Stanford)
*Ton of ties with our players and front office. Shaw brings a ton of experience to the coaching staff. Wants to get back to NFL coaching.

QB Coach: Tavita Pritchard (QB Coach, Commanders)
*He's been doing a good job with Howell at QB over in DC. Connections with Shaw, and could be an eventual OC ala McDaniel.

DBs Coach: Jason Simmons (DB Coach, Raiders)
*Connections with Wilks and Shanahan, Simmons has an impressive resume developing talent at every stop of his coaching career.

Personnel Moves -

Release: Gregory, Oliver ($17M savings)
Retire: Juice ($6M savings)
Restructure: Warner, Kittle ($20M savings)

You're paying Ferrell $20m and not Chase Young?

Ah that makes sense, but if Chase balls out this year. I rather give him that 20m than all of those guys
Would draft Guyton or Kingsley with first pick, Malachi Corley with another and maybe Jaheim Bell TE with the 3rd rd pick. OL is most important need after free agents sign

Got it. I like the idea of trading back. I'm still several months away from diving into the players. But I really don't understand bringing Ferrell back. I felt like we've had better production from cheaper players. Not a fan at all.
Couple of things that stand out. Love the idea of getting Sneed. Would be a great start to the offseason to get a true impact player in FA. In the draft, it's time IMO to fix either the OL or secondary first this year instead of the d line. A new center, OT or FS has to be a higher priority. Like the players you picked, but not the order. Great job late with some great value picks in Rice, Pratt, Linton and Knox. Nice mock.
why does Griese retire haha?
