NFL Draft
NYG trades their #6 pick to the Raiders #13 along with a slew of other picks. Raiders snag McCarthy, Giants trade down and snag Brock Bowers.
NYG trades back up via two second round picks for SF's 1st and 3rd (comp) round picks. They snag a WR to help Daniel Jones elevate the offense.
R2: Zach Frazier - C/G - WVU (via NYG thru LV)
*Day 1 starter at C or G spots, Frazier is a touch undersized but an ideal scheme fit with strength, technical abilities, and agility. Easily can be plugged into RG, but I think he actually beats out Brendel for the starting spot.
R2: Ennis Rakestraw Jr. - CB - Mizzou (via NYG thru SEA)
*While he hasn't fully developed as a press corner, Rakestraw does a great job in off-man and zone coverages. I think he has the talent to develop into a bonafide #1 blue chip corner in this league.
R2: Patrick Paul - OT - Houston
*Raw technical skills in the run game, but strong pass protection and intangibles to be the LT of the future in 1-2 years. Competes with McKivitz for the RT spot in 2024.
49ers trade 4th (via DAL) for Saints two 5th and a 7th round draft pick (assumed NO traded down w. their 1st rd to collect more picks)
R4: Javon Baker - WR - UCF
*Debated between Baker and Rice, but Baker offers more athletic upside and versatility in our offensive scheme.
R4: Jaden Crumedy - DT - Miss St. (comp)
*Solid intangibles to be a rotational piece in year one, and a true starter in 2025+ as a 3 down DT. Good value pick here.
R5: Zak Zinter - G - Michigan (via NO)
*Blue collar player that won't hesitate to do the dirty work at either side of the line. Could replace Banks if not resigned in 2025.
R5: Jordan McGee - LB - Temple (via NO comp)
*Raw athletic ability and skills to be our next Greenlaw in 2025. I see a lot of upside in his game with our scheme.
R5: MJ Devonshire - CB - Pitt (comp)
*Long arms, good height, and experienced in both press and zone coverages. Inside / outside ability. Could be a Lenior 2.0 guy for us.
R6: Dominique Hampton - S/LB - Washington
*Elite athletic skills and size, but lacks IQ and an older prospect. Could carve a role as a ST player for us.
R6: Frank Gore Jr - RB - Southern Miss (comp)
*Putting aside the linage and connection, Gore Jr is a ideal late round zone RB that is already strong as a blocker. He'll fight for a spot.
R7: Isaiah Williams - WR/RB - Illinois (via NO)
*Slot receiver that can flex to RB for specific play calls. Experience with return duties as well.
R7: Braiden McGregor - DT/DE - Michigan (comp)
*Upside as a base run defender with some pass rush skills. Likely a PS candidate in year 1.
Post-Draft Roster Moves
Free Agency: Justin Simmons - S, Matt Breida - RB
*Allows us to move to a 4-1-6 type package to put the best 11 on the field given Greenlaw and Huf's injury. Breida provides depth and PS slot.
Extension: Brandon Aiyuk - WR
Trade Block
*Spencer Burford - given the Feliciano resigning, if Burford doesn't show up in TC, then we cut ties and trade him.
*Ambry Thomas - we cut our loses with his up and down play. Both parties need a break.

I'm looking and see that the Giants only have one 2nd rounder.

A 1st and 3rd for two 2nds wouldn't be a good trade. More like a 1st for two 2nds and a 3rd.

We aren't getting 2 mid-2nd round picks (#44 and #47) for 30 and 94. That's 890-724 in our favor in trade value chart and the reason a lot of us want to trade down is we think there isn't a huge drop-off in talent between 30 and 40-45. We're getting too much in exchange for our late 4th round pick too.
We're perennially optimistic about how much our draft picks and players are worth in trades.
Otherwise, positions make sense, I like the idea of trading back, and I like Rakestraw and Paul.

I think its the Vikings who move up to #4 to get McCarthey or whichever QB falls to #4. They got more ammo than the Raiders since they now have two first round picks.
