Post New Years Mock

We need to rebuild the lines. That is the focus of this draft.

1 (11) - Will Campbell, OT, LSU. Mobile, athletic lineman. Great fit for the zone. Shorter than ideal arm length, but is a proven, three Year Starter in the SEC. I would start him at RT, and potentially move him over to LT in a few years.
2 (43) - Harold Fannin, TE, Bowling Green. At 6'3'', 230 lbs, he doesn't have ideal size, but he is a versatile offensive weapon as a H-Back and TE. He is quick and athletic. Shows the ability to be a vertical threat and playmaker down the field. Also, film shows that in spite of his size, he is a willing blocker in both the pass and run games. Could be a great second tight end behind Kittle.
3 (75) - DaMonte Capeheart, DL, Clemson. At 6'4'', 320 lbs, he is a sturdy, prototypical nose tackle. He is a rock in the middle of the line. He doesn't have the best pass rush potential, but his skill set is exactly what we have been lacking along the line.
4 (100) - Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas. Athletic, ball hawking, free safety. Great playmaking skills as a deep safety.
4 (112) - Charles Grant, OT/OG, William & Mary. Another mobile, athletic lineman. He played tackle in college, but at just 6'4'', he is a prime candidate to be moved inside. I think he could be in the mix right away to start at LG or C.
5 (137) - Antwaun Powell-Ryland, DE/OLB, Virginia Tech. Quick, fast, twitchy edge rusher. Similar to Dee Ford. We have been missing the speed rush element on our defensive line.
6 (186) - Joshua Gray, IOL, Oregon State. Powerful, athletic lineman. Experience playing all three positions. Great fit in the zone scheme.
7 (221) - RJ Harvey, RB, UCF. Lacks the size and strength to be a between the tackles, power runner. But he has track speed, great acceleration, agility, and footwork, an is adept at running outside zone.
7 (230) - Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State. Ideal size and length. Very mobile and athletic lineman. Has obvious technical issues that cause him to fall.
7 (249) - Darian Chestnut, CB, Syracuse. He doesn't have ideal speed, but he has great size. Position versatility between corner and safety. Film shows great football IQ and route recognition.
7 (254) - O'Donnell Fortune, CB, South Carolina. Long, lanky corner at 6'1'' 185 lbs. Similar to Chestut, he doesn't have ideal speed, but he has great size and his film shows great football IQ an route recognition.
Great picks! Thanks for sharing the feedback on Charles Grant, I've been hearing his name but haven't known much about him, makes sense why people have been talking about him for zone blocking teams.

The only pick I'm not a fan of is Fannin, but I completely understand what you're saying he could be. Maybe snag a DE instead in the 2nd and snag Helm/Taylor in the 4th or 5th round?
@Crazy49er1313, in regards to Fannin, I definitely think that TE2 is a need. The team has been searching for one the last few years (Latu, Willis, Tonges, Saubert, Thomas). Loveland and Warren are clear 1a and 1b in this draft, and Fannin is the 3rd best in this draft. I like him a lot better than Helm and Taylor, who I believe are just average route runners, and their speed, athleticism, acceleration, and explosiveness are lacking. Fannin is far and away a better route runner, gets better separation, has vertical separation to threaten defenses down the field, and is as much of a willing blocker as Helm and Taylor are.
