Coaching Changes -

New DC: Dennis Allen | Experienced, proven, and provides stability. 4-3 base scheme, but will introduce more complex schemes and packages to create confusion for opposing offenses. Sharp defensive mind, just a bad head coach. We get our Spags.

New ST: Darren Rizzi | Strong track record on ST, Rizzi is a huge upgrade to revamp our unit. He'll hit the reset button on Moody.

Associate HC + Offense: Thomas Brown | He had a few tough gigs in his last few positions, but he finally finds stability as our "OC". Well respected in the locker room and a sharp offensive mind, he's not ready to call his own plays, but he'll push Kyle to be more creative.

New QB Coach: Klint Kubiak | Griese gets an OC gig. Kubiak returns as our QBs coach. Kyle trusts him and he did a good job last year on our staff.

Personnel Moves -

Resign: Greenlaw, Allen, Saubert, Yiadom, All RFA and ERFAs (Ward, Huf, and Banks get paid in FA)

Release: Hargrave, Floyd (Post-June 1st designations)

Retire: Brendel, Juice

Extend: Purdy, Kittle (net-net, no major cap changes for '25)

Free Agency Targets - only 1-2 key signings, otherwise budget buys and cap casualty targets

Osa Odighizuwa - DT - Cowboys | One of the best pass rushing DTs in free agency, Osa is a younger, healthier Hargrave type player in our scheme.

Drew Dalman - C - Falcons | Kyle prefers vets, and Dalman is the ideal scheme fit for our offense. Huge upgrade vs. Brendel.

Dayo Odeyingbo - DE - Colts | Reminds me of a more athletic Omeniheu. Mid-tier 1 yr deal, underrated and will look for a pay day in '26

Marcus Williams - S - Saints | Projected cap cut. Had his best years under Allen's scheme. Competes with Brown at FS. Budget buy.

Gerald Everett - TE - Bears | Projected cap cut. Everett competes for our #2 behind Kittle. Ties to Brown during their LAR days.

Raekwon Davis - DT - Colts | Projected cap cut. Stout run defender with some upside as a pass rusher.

Budget Buys: Wills (T, CLE), Echols (CB, NYJ), Wilson (QB, DEN)

NFL Draft -

49ers trade down, picking up a later 1st and 2nd round pick.

R1: Josh Conerly Jr. - T - Oregon (via trade down)
*Day 1 starter at RT with the eventual goal to be our LT of the future. 1-2 inches taller, he'd be a top 15 pick. Excellent scheme fit.

R2: Andrew Mukuba - NB/S - Texas
*Jimmie Ward meets Jevon Holland, Mukuba is hyper athletic that can be NB or S in our scheme. Excellent coverage and playmaking skills. This creates new wrinkles in our coverage schemes.

R2: Donovan Ezeiruaku - EDGE - Boston College (via trade down)
*Elite first step off the line of scrimmage, Eze will be a pure speedy EDGE under Allen's scheme. Will need to hit the weight room, but he'll add a new threat and mismatches on defense in the right system and scheme.

R3: Ollie Gordon - RB - Oklahoma St.
*We lack a durable bell-cow back. Gordon is a large, physical yet athletic RB. Reminds me a bit of Jeff Wilson, but much more upside. Given CMC and Mason durability concerns, and IG's role as an outside zone RB, Kyle badly needs Gordon to improve our 3rd down conversion and red zone offense.

R3: Jack Nelson - T/G - Wisconsin (comp)
*Experienced T or G, Nelson projects best at G or RT at the next level. I actually see him as a day 1 starter at RG with Puni moving to LG in '25.

R4: Chris Paul Jr - LB - Ole Miss
*No, he's not P Willis, but I think he'll be a starter in 1-2 years in our scheme. He can play all 3 LB positions, and can find a role on early base downs and ST duties. I love his game.

R4: Jermari Harris - CB - Iowa (comp)
*5th year senior that's experienced, skilled, and will provide excellent depth at the outside corner spot.

R4: Yahya Black - DT - Iowa (comp)
*Stout run defender that will compete with Elliott and Anderson for snaps at the NT position.

R6: Brock Lampe - FB - NIU
*We get a more pure blocking FB for our scheme with ST upside.

Remaining picks will be PS type picks.

That would be a great offseason. I especially love your first three picks and picking up Dalman to be our new center.

I love the DC . And I like the draft, but the problem I have is I don't see a left guard. We don't have one up at top. I didn't really understand what you were saying. You said they were gonna get paid and free agency so that mean, banks leaves and we have nobody at left guard and they better not dare move the rookie to the left side
