NYniner85 mock 1.0 2025

We're less than a month away! I'm hoping to do one more mock after we get more confirmation on top 30 visits and can connect more dots.

I used Dane Brugler's big board. So get mad at him if you hate where guys went lol.

also I only did one trade and tried to keep it somewhat realistic.

11-TRADE* move down to 14 with the Colts who get Warren. SF receives their 80th pick.

14- Derrick Harmon DT- leader of that Oregon D. Built to play in this scheme. Had a breakout yr and lead the nation in pressure at IDL. I think SF is high on him. Gold helmet guy.

43-JT Tuimoloau EDGE- ideal fit for our 4-3. Strong vs the run and can create consistent pressure. High end recruit with the stats to back it up. All around good prospect, played a lot of football with no health issues (played in all 55 games).

75-Harold Fannin JR TE-hybrid TE that Kyle would love to scheme up. Great hands, good straight line speed. Isaiah likely or Reed like prospect.

80- Charles Grant OT-long athletic OT with quick feet. Wrestling background but a little light in the pants. Ideal fit for a zone blocking scheme.

100-Chris Paul JR LBer- His film is fun to watch. He's an explosive undersized WILL that has no problem getting dirty. He's a good blitzer and plus in coverage. Got some dog for his size.

113-Aeneas Peebles DT-love this dude. Wins the leverage battle. Quick first step and has a motor. One gap penetrator.

138- Lathan Ransom S- great tackler, hits like a MAC truck. Him and Mustafa will help shutdown the run game without question. He's not a true FS and is best closer to the LOS (similar to Huff). He can see the field well and was a 3 yr starter at OSU. another dawg added to the team.

147- Cobee Bryant CB- can play inside and outside. Kicked ass at the shrine bowl. alpha energy who can press and play in zone. Him with Lenior would make the best trash talked CBs in the league. dawg

160- CJ West DT- twitched up bowling ball who really doesn't like to be blocked. Great vs the run and there's enough there to develop some pass rush. Maybe the next DJ jones?

227-Jacory Croskey-Merritt RB- probably doesn't last this long, but got hurt early this yr and only got to play in the shrine bowl. He's a one cut and go RB with good speed that SF has been in contract with throughout the draft process.

249-Luke Kandra OG-thought his film was pretty good. Strong athletic OG who played in a zone based scheme.

252-Luke Newman OG/C-started at holy cross at LT then transfer to MSU and moved inside. Has good movement skills and some nasty. Worked at center at the shrine bowl and held up well

Trade with the Colts to draft the DT of the future. I feel like I've been here before lol. Love the Harmon, Grant, Paul, Peebles, Bryant, West and Kandra picks. Would set our trenches up for a while with this draft.

lol I didn't even think of that!

man I really wanted to get Wilson Jr or Bowman at S, but the board didn't shake out that way for me.
I LOVE the JTT pick. He's my favorite DE for us in the entire draft.

Really like Harmon, Peebles, Grant and Bryant.

Like the idea of a TE at 75, just not Fannin. Just can't get behind him. Too stiff for me. If Mason Taylor or Arroyo was available here sign me up.

1st time watching Paul. I'm intrigued.

Love kandra but think he goes way higher than this

Ransom does seem like the same kind of safety we already have. Though after Bowman and Mukuba FS kind of drops off IMO.

West I don't mind but feel we have better reserves at DT than Edge so if I were to double up on DL here it would be at Edge. Just personal preference.

Overall I would love this draft. A switch at TE I would REALLY LOVE this draft.

Yeah, I can totally be talked out of Fannin, I've been seeing a lot of chatter with him and SF though. I like taylor and Arroyo more, they were long gone on Dane's big board. (Taylor 33rd overall Arroyo 41st).

I like Wilson jr and Bowman more at S (also Mukuba), but they were also gone at that point.

Jared Ivey was the only prospect at EDGE that was still there (that I've watched) instead of West. Again I can be talked into that as well.

Thanks man!

Beautiful. Hits every need and would help to reset this team aside from WR but I'd think Shanahan would have a field day scheming up Fannin as a big slot and he could be what we wanted Jalen Hurd to be when we drafted him in the 3rd.

One of the better mocks I have seen.

Harmon
JT
Grant (LG)
Peebles (Nickle D)
West (Base D)
Paul
Ranson
Bryant

All would have a chance to be day 1 starters or at the very least play a ton of snaps.

Nice work.

Yeah Fannin was my pass catcher. Overall not really a fan of the WRs in this draft.

thanks man.
Would be disappointed about not having a free safety, but that's the only issue you didn't get help at.

Yeah can't fill every hole in one draft. Ransom did play some FS at OSU, but he's best closer to the LOS.

overall we have never really had that single high FS guy and have been fine. I like Mukuba who could be that guy (was gone at that point same with bowman) but his size and tackling are not a positive. We need sure tacklers back there with good instincts.
Great mock!! I think Cobee Bryant and CJ West might go a little earlier but everything else looks great!!

Yeah they could for sure, Dane actually has a 6th rd grade on Bryant so I reached there according to his big board. He's got a 4th-5th on West. Could flip those to fit his big board a little better.
This is a great mock and realistic one too. I can really see the 49ers board/draft shaking this way and I'd be freaking happy with it
