Great question. I would have to agree Calvin Johnson was a monster in college so I would pick Johnson.

Is it just me, but whenever I think about a Johnson and crabs, I think of the classic scene out of Smokey and the Bandit where Jackie Gleason says "I'm going to punch your momma in the mouth."

41 TDs in 2 seasons speaks for itself. i doubt he will be a bust at worst hell be a chris carter type reciever, at best im saying steve smith type.
Dude, are you saying that Steve Smith is better than Chris Carter? Steve Smith will be lucky if he has a career as good as Carter's. 4th in career TDs (130), 3rd in receptions (1101) and 7th in yards (13899). That's some pretty high praise to say that the worse a guy can be is a hall of famer.

Not close. Johnson by a mile.
P.S. Can I add that on draft day, I said that if the Raiders drafted Russell, they would live to regret the pick. Johnson was clearly the best prospect in the draft, even a better prospect than A. Peterson, who has been phenomenal.
So, the Raiders could have had a combination of Johnson and Crabtree. Instead, they have Russell and Heyward-Bey.
Way to go, Al Davis. Brilliant!!!!

I agree..Anyone with that kind of production under their belts is from the "bust" title..Regardless I think we have a reciever with alot of talent and potential as long as we give him the ball..hey i will settle for a chris cater type reciever..but i feel he can be more of a Chad Johnson type without the drama..hopefully!!!

Nah, you can't put Crabtree ahead of a guy who made the probowl in Williams without ever playing a down in the NFL. Fitzgerald has played way way better than CJ and taken his team to the superbowl. AJ is and has been more consistant than CJ in his career. CJ has had one reasonable year. Does he have potential to top the list? Sure but not yet. So for me it's
LF
AJ
CJ
RW
MC

I think it's an outdated draft philopshy that says take a QB number 1 over any other position if that' a team need. I felt the niners fell into that position when they had the 1st pick. Gotta evolve and look at the best player over position in certain instances. Al Davis still thinks 7 step drops and running 50 yard fly patterns are gonna work all day

If Crabtree ends up as belonging on this list then the Niners will have done pretty well with the tenth pick.
