Drew Davis, Alabama
Will Barker, Virginia
IYHO OTC, who would you rather have with that second first rounder? Bulaga, Davis, or Lupati (Will he jump that hi out of the second)? It just seems like Lupati's equal is not found anywhere...top of the crop of Gs whereas we have options at ROT in the second and third.
I guess what I am asking is that the level of talent really diminishes after Lupati. The same with the safeties Berry and Mays who are top 10 talents. Therefore, I would love to see us go like this:
Top 10 pick: Mays, FS/SS (I just think Berry will be pick top five for sure) starts from day 1
Top 20 -25 pick: Lupati There just isn't a G as good.
2nd: Best DE/OLB like Hughes, Lang, and others very deep!
3rd: S. Young ROT
4th: P. Taylor NT
Of course, there's a lot more college ball, Senior bowl, combine, la la la la la...
Still, I love the idea of grabbing one of those two safeties! If not, I really could see us trade back because you know someone like the Jets is going to jump up for one of the top QBs, DTs and/or OTs. That would give us more picks in a very rich talented draft especially at DE/OLB and ROT.
What would your ideal first three picks be, OTC...just curious?
Thanks man!
PS I didn't even go QB because of Nate Davis, your boy from last year. I just think they found a gem with him in the fifth and will continue to mold him behind both Smith and Hill. I see Smith and Davis competing next year for the starting job and Hill becoming a backup again.
