Or you've got a great defense and the system is tailored to make up for your every liability. Look he's a great college player, he's just not an nfl caliber starting qb. Not every good or even great college player makes a good one in the nfl. For example, there have been great college players who have been average to below average in the nfl.......Reggie Bush, Hershel Walker, Peter Warrick, etc..

You can't think about him looking good, because he's going to look good pretty much every week......he dominates college football. You have to think in terms of whether his skills translate to the NFL and they quite simply do not.

alex smith and tim tebow are 2 completely different players. they both ran/run the same offense in college but both are different.

You seen a play? I've seen many and like one poster said, he has that "IT" factor and puts everything he has into his play. That alone will might make him a decent QB in this game. It will take a year or 2 at least though.

Tebow's "it" factor is so overrated. For him it's just an excuse for his below average pocket quarterbacking. Great, he screams at halftime, big deal. Look how the Gator's are struggling without Harvin and Murphy. Tebow is a game managing QB and a decent fullback.

He kinda reminds of Michael Robinson. Not good enough be a QB, and after that really doesn't have the skill set for any other position. Great college player, good athlete just stuck somewhere in between.
I don't even buy him as a Wildcat QB. Why am I supposed to be scared of a direct snap to a FB?

hes not that fast, doesnt throw very well, and i dunno how he can catch. Hes gonna be a FB or TE at the nfl level, get mad because hes not a QB then go to the UFL and be ok.

He does have great leadership qualities and he seems to Will his team to victory from time to time....but My eyes don't lie. His mechanics are horrible, his release is way to slow, He's not accurate and he's not going to be running in the NFL like he does now. You can get away with that in college but in the Pro's it's a totally different ball game.
I agree with Matt Maiocco......This guy has 121 Rushing attemtps and 84 pass completions....He's not an NFL QB.

What the hell do you know. You are just a wanna be GM. Touche! As I pointed out in another thread Tony Dungy said he would take him over any other QB in the draft and said he is certainly worth a top 10 pick.
For my money... I think Tebow will have a big learning curve and will take 2-3 years before anyone could even think of having him play QB in the NFL. However, he could be effective in the right system. I just wouldnt use a top pick on him.
