Both are nice backs, and alot of people here, being west coasters will say Best, but Spiller is nice too, but please dont forget about GA Tech's Jonathan Dwyer, he is a awesome back as well.
I didn't forget Dwyer at all, but with Jahvid and CJ being similar in size and style, I wanted to know who you would prefer.
i would prefer CJ Spiller is better than Javid. I already watched to Javid on the youtube video. he look ok. i believe it. I think, Javid is best the move to WR? yes why not? Javid is very good speed and fast run that kinda a WR than RB. Spiller is kinda fact a RB. go 49ers
javhid best reminders of reggy bush.. just cheetah speeds and nothing less.. right??? i think they may have similar pro carrers.. and still we all see that reggy doesn't do much at saints.. not even starting rb behind pierre thomas and bell

It's nice he plays for Cal, but homerism doesn't equate to truth.
Spiller is better than Best, and is a multi-dimensional player that can beat you in virtually any way on the field.
As seen, he can blow right by you as a receiver. And as a runner. AND as a returner. This is what will make him a 1st round pick. Barring injury, there's not a chance Spiller falls out of the first. Not in my mind.

Any chance he may be available with our second 1st rounder? According to some other draft sites, he's listed in the 15-25 range. Yea I know, it's probably WAY too early to tell.

It's close either way.
Jahvid Best's disappearing act in all of Cal's recent big games was extremely disappointing.

im not saying he cant return best is the better RB but we are not looking for a star RB right now we are looking for a secocnd RB and spiller not only can fill that but he is an excellent return man better than best IMO

Possible, but I think right now it's unlikely. But you have to consider.. the draft is a loooong way away. Other factors are obviously what the drafting order is and what teams are picking in that area.
To say "so and so is going top 20" or "so and so is a sure-fire top 15 pick" right now is kind of an unwise thing to do. As far as the top backs though, I think Spiller unquestionably falls in the top five.
Top 5: Spiller, Dwyer*, Matthews*, Best*, and when healthy.. Kendall Hunter*
Spiller through Best I believe all are guys who would go in the first, but what order is hard to tell at this point. Matthews and Spiller are probably the most complete backs. Spiller has scored a touchdown in some way in every game this year. Dwyer is your workhorse power guy. Best is a fast, shifty guy, and Hunter (who I wouldn't expect to declare) can do a variety of things for you on offense as well. I think he'll be a day one pick in 2011.

Completely agree. I think Spiller would fit our team perfectly with his speed, versatility & return abilities.
