Comparing our signings vs. FA losses, If we get anything it may only be a 7th. This is what we gained and lost last off-season to free agency (only signed players are included):
LOSSES:
QB J.T. O'Sullivan - Signed with Bengals
TE Sean Ryan - Signed with Chiefs
TE Billy Bajema - Signed with Rams
DT Ronald Fields - Signed with Broncos
CB Donald Strickland - Signed with Jets
WR Bryant Johnson - Signed by Lions
GAINS:
FB Moran Norris
WR Brandon Jones
DE Demetric Evans
Players that don't count against us are Pashos and Bly because they were released by their teams rather than left unsigned.
Only Ryan, Fields, Strickland, and Johnson figure to see a fair amount of playing time over the course of this season. Johnson and Ryan have done the most for their teams thus far. Johnson has catches in every game but one with about 200 yards and 1 TD on the season. TE Ryan has 14 catches for 135 yards and 2 TDs with Kansas City.
As I see it, the chances of any comp picks are slim, but we can hope for a 7th since we "lost" twice as many as we "gained."

I don't know a lot about the comp pick formula, but doesn't starts or playing time figure in somehow?
Of the guys we lost, I know the following are starters:
Ronald Fields (Broncos)
Bryant Johnson (Lions)
Sean Ryan (Chiefs)
The only starter we "gained" would be Norris, correct? The other two barely sniff the field. But Jones' contract may negate some of that, idk.
Shouldn't that give us at least one pick? Obviously not a very high one, but still...

I would say Johnson and Jones's contracts would cancel each other out.
I would also say that Strickland and Evans would cancel each other out.
Norris and Fields may also cancel.
I'd say we'd get a 6th round pick for Sean Ryan.

I believe so. Hopefully we can land at least a 7th out of all of this.

I agree with your assessment. We aren't going to get much, if anything.

Wait didn't Norris get cut by the Lions last year mid season? I don't think he stuck with them, and pretty sure that cut/released players don't count right?

the only one who will count much is Jones, so we should be loking at 2 picks for Bajema, Johnson and Fields. all got mult year deals.

What happened with the tampering charges? Is there still a possibility we get a pick out of that mess?

He was re-signed again and then left unsigned as a FA.
