Why would Terrance Cody fall due to versatility?? I'm pretty sure every Scout, GM and coach know from the get go he is not a versatile player, and should only be projected at one spot in the NFL as a NT.

I am not too wild on the QB switch you made. We need continuity at OC and QB, and bringing in Clemens to learn a new playbook with Hill can be a solid spot starter is not wise IMO.

I think Sopoaga more than likely has potential to move to NT if we can't resign Franklin than being cut. The only way I see Sopoaga getting cut is if RJF and Balmer beat him in training camp...and I don't see either happening at this point.

As far as the draft goes, I am glad you targeted OT first.

But if we draft a CB in the first round, then I think Clements will be moving to FS and Goldson to SS.

CB: Robinson/Brown
CB: Spencer
FS: Clements
SS: Goldson

Agree with everything above. Also confused as to why we'd take a kicker in the 5th, seems like a wasted pick at this point if Nedney isn't going anywhere.

Yea NT is a really easy position to fill, oh wait it's not. People really don't understand that 1 player in Pitt and SD have for years created some of the toughest run defenses in the league. Cody will very likely be off the board and starting in Pitt, NE, or SD.
I know its early but I have a few issues with this.

Cuts:
Noddle Arm....not going to happen
Mark Roman...contract is up
Barry Sims
Bruce (retired)
Soap (overpaid, no room with Jean)...we would trade Soap not cut him

I guess you plan to keep to resign Battle and let Spurlock walk?

Free Agency:

OLB Shaun Merriman....probably will be pricey and I don't see us doing it.
RB Leon Wahington.....I would be surprised if the Jets let him go
QB Kellen Clemens.....Hill is fine to sit and possibly be moved to the #3 QB spot

Draft:

1a) Trent Williams RT

Williams is a name everybody knows and assumes he will be the 2nd OT taken, just like Oher was a sure top 10 pick. If his play improves a bit he could be taken much earlier to fill in at LT for a team but I think he gets leapfrogged a bit when it comes to draft time. A lot of recent mocks have his slipping a bit

1b) Patrick Robinson CB

Ive seen his name and ours together a few times already in a couple of mocks. I like the idea of taking a CB high but I don't think we do it this year. Yes Clements and Spencer make mistakes but with Browns 3 year extension I cant see us drafting a CB this early.

2) Terrence Cody DT (will fall due to lack of versatility)

No problems with this pick...it will depend on a possible extension with Franklin of course.

3) Trindon Holliday KR/WR

Flashy pick but his main job would be in the return game. The kid has skills but at 5'5-5'6 he is VERY short to ever play at WR. If he was sitting in rounds 5-6 I would say take a shot at him but with guys like Jordan Shipley possibly available who can play WR effectively and return kicks I would go with the latter.....but I like how your thinking.

4) Reggie Stephens OG

No problem with OG at this spot but Stephens is projected in a much lower round I think.

5) Brett Swenson K

NO

6) Thomas Austin C

Do you want to cut Wallace?.....I would go after another OT here.

7) Scott Sicko TE (beast name)

He better me a blocking monster

Agreed. Nedney signed a 2 year ext. this offseason. If its PS fodder, I think we'll draft a K in the last round.
Not a fan of this draft or off-season. It doesn't seem likely.
Don't like it that much. Not sure how Washington is gonna return after fracturing his leg.

not a fan?
Cest moi is a Texas Tech Red Raider.
Did you see what happened to Washington's leg? He compound fractured his fibula... He might not be the same player. I don't know about that signing. I might keep Hill around as the back up QB. Other than that not too many problems with your moves, they're kind of different but you never know how a situation will look at the end of the year.
