I like your draft. I like the Devine pick alot. A little worried about his immaturity and off the field issues. Iupati is my favorite player in this year's draft class.
I would also do something a little differently tho. I wouldn't resign Bly. Never liked him. I think we need to add an elite speed guy in the secondary. I'd be OK with the Bryant pick, but only if Haden is off the board. Nice job.

In this draft who would handle punt returns for our team?

Well, finally someone else who agrees that Bryant would be a good pick. We have no speed at Wr and teaming Bryant with Crabtree with Morgan in the slot would make our reciieving corps deadly. It probably will never happen, but it would be nice if it did.

1A: Dez Bryant WR, Okla St. (assuming Bradford and Claussen are off the board)
1B: Mike Iupati OG, Idaho
1C: (2011 1st to New England for their 2010 1st) Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
2: Noel Devine RB, WVA (hasn't declared yet but he will.)
3: Kyle Calloway OT, Iowa
4: Stephan Virgil CB, Va Tech
5: Kyle McCarthy S, Notre Dame
6: Reggie Stephens OG, Iowa St.
7: Jay Ross DT, East Carolina
Unfortunately still have Smith at QB
Thoughts:
- I like the Calloway and Iupati picks. Campbell is overkill, and we may need that 1st round pick on a QB in 2011.
- I'd still prefer Spiller over Bryant because Spiller can see action at slot WR as well. He adds the speed element at RB, ST, and WR. Bryant, while a good player, doesn't really diversify our WR unit. WR can be addressed later to replace Battle and Bruce.
- Overkill on the O-line. It will never happen. 2 out of 3 first round picks on OL? 3 total? We aren't rebuilding the O-line from scratch bro.

From the games I watched Spiller didn't appear to be that Bush /Chris Johnson type that could split out at WR and be a fluid WR. Sure he has speed but........ Unless I missed something in the games I watched.
I understand your overkill comment. However had I waited until round 3 to get an OT it didn't seem good enough. Why because RT is probably our biggest need. Which tells me 2 things. 1. we don't have a starter at RT and 2. our backup obviously isn't starting worthy if need be or RT wouldn't be a need. So the use of the 2nd OT is to give us someone who can fill in if need be.
People often times like to say so and so is a good backup but he's not a starter. Which baffles me. Because a good backup is someone who can get the job done when asked to start. We don't have that at the tackle spot. Thus, the "overkill" .

Hadn't thought about Bryant but it would really make WR a strength and would make the return game significanly better. Might be a great move--with Crabtree, Bryant, VD and Gore coming at you...ouch! As long as the 9ers can firm up the OLine and DBs, great.

I'd like this, but wouldnt re-sign Baas.. I'd get a nasty journeyman type like Harvey Dahl in his place. I dont want Bryant as we have too many WR's, and we could get a top tier OT around then. I love Dre Bly, but unless he's playing in a confined area other WR's just run right by him. I'd just draft a good CB in the 2nd-3rd rounds(esp. if we keep Nate, Spencer and Brown) and we could move guys like Smith back to CB..

I like it, not a fan of giving away 2011 1st round pick though. Knowing our luck it will come back to haunt us big time.

I gotta say, I like it.
We will be very thin at WR after this year. And we get that stud boy from Idaho who from what I hear can be moved to RT. If we are gonna be a shotgun O, it would be wise to invest in Devine as he could be used in ST as well in the NFL
The thing I hate is that Dez will be represented by that idiot agent that Crabtree has.

lol why on earth would we take dez bryant...
and again...no offensive linemen til the 2nd..singletary likes both chilo and baas, our only real need is RT, and both of the elite guys will be gone by the time we pick...
Oh I don't know maybe because he's one of the best playmakers in the draft. Offensive playmakers to boot. Have you not watched our offense?
i like bryant, but for the first time in a long time, wide receiver is the last spot on offense we need help..that would be like the lions taking a quarterback with their first overall pick again, and someone saying...have you watched our offense?
Not even close to the same thing my man!
really?
our wide reciever production was arguably better than the lions quarterback production....
if you seriously think wide receiver is a position that need be addressed in even the first two rounds of this draft, you are out of your god damn skull.
