I want this guy on my team !!

Reading this and his Bio has put Ciron Black high on my wish list. I would love to see him in a Niner jersey:

In the top of the second or bottom of the 1st we should jump all over this guy...

From FF Toolbox:
2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Ciron Black, OL, LSU
Black has been the pillar of the LSU offensive line for four consecutive seasons, and he is one of the most experienced players in all of college football. Since redshirting in 2005, the senior tackle has started an incredible 52 straight games for the Tigers; 13 as a freshman, 14 as a sophomore, 13 as a junior, and so far 12 in his final campaign in Baton Rouge. Black was named a First-Team Freshman All-American by several publications in 2006, and he was an All-SEC performer in each of his next two seasons. The Tigers have been plagued by injuries this year so the offense has not been piling up a ton of yards, but Charles Scott (4.7 yards per carry) and Keiland Williams (5.3 ypc) have found success running behind a stellar offensive front.
Black also projects well to the NFL, and not just because he is extremely durable. In the mold of most LSU linemen, Black stands at an imposing 6'5'' and 322 pounds. He runs in the mid-5.3s of the 40-yard dash and has been clocked faster than 5.30 at that distance; impressive speed for a man of his size. Scouts will also love the fact that Black is an outstanding person off the field who excels in the classroom. The only real drawback--if you can call it that--is that Black, who has played both right and left tackle for the Tigers, is not an NFL left tackle (the more valuable position). He is an excellent run-blocker, but he must improve in the pass-blocking department if he is ever to protect a quarterback's blind side. Even so, Black is a lock to be off the board before the end of the second round, and he even has a shot at a late first-round selection.
Not sure if he has the feet to even play RT in the NFL (often gets roasted by speed rushers), but he'd be a nice addition as an OG. If he has a good combine, he might be worth our 2nd round pick.
Hmmmm., I wonder how much input the LSU PR department and Les Miles
had on this write up? That's not the player I have seen watching LSU games (and I'm a fan of LSU).

If you want someone from LSU in the Draft, you might want to look at their Safety, C. Jones. Of course, he may opt for baseball being a LHP who would command a decent salary.

Oh, and if you want to put LaFell on that list, please don't.
Sirius Black. Just what we need. Azkabaners unite.

Hey I'm an LSU fan. I laud his leadership ability, but I want someone with a mean streak in them who has the feet to pass block. Guard maybe.

What I'd really like is Kevin Gogan to go through a time machine and come back on the 49ers as a 24 year old OT.

Why do you say that? I actually like Brandon Lafell; he was the best WR they had and showed why he's a good talent during the few offensive drives LSU had that amounted to anything this year. For some reason Les Miles had it in his head to go power I 80% of the time when the personnel they have is built for the spread. If that had actually happened Lafell's numbers would've been very good. Now this doesn't mean the 49ers should draft him unless he falls to the third round for some reason but if the need was there I'd take him. Ciron black is good when he wants to be, and half the time, especially this year, he's loafing and uses his size to overcompensate.

I think/hope that Chad Jones, Drake Nevis and Kelvin Shepherd will be back next year to contend with Alabama for the SEC west since all three need one more year. I'm also over Jordan Jefferson. Next year better be the rise of Russell Shepherd, especially if Miles wants to keep his job.
