I don't think he is clearly winning the battle at all. Morgan got good pressure against Stanzi while bulldozing Bulaga who looked like he was holding as well. Even the commentator said he got away with it. Stanzi had to run to the sideline and throw it away.

That was one play that he beat Bulaga.

That's why I am saying it's not a clear win like Patrick is saying. So far, I think Bulaga is winning the battle, just not dominating it.

Your right
My first look at Baluga of Iowa. I'm impressed. Quick off the snap. Good feet. Pancaking guys on running plays and getting to the 2nd level, effectively blocking on LB's and DB's, sometimes blocking 2 players per play. Shows lots of confidence. Looks like he has some 'tude and takes no crap from anyone. I like this guy.

Also very impressed with Iowa's DE #94, Clayborn, whom Barrows has touted (via Rob Rang).

A thought: Niners might want to take a look at Iowa's OL coach, whoever he is, as an upgrade from Foerster.

Ferentz does most of the coaching for the offensive line...

Thanks for the tip. Ferentz is a helluva coach. Iowa has consistently turned out qulaity O-linemen, who have the fundamentals to quickly contribute in the NFL. Baluga certainly looks like the real deal.
Am I wrong, or does it seem like we will have enough options to pick up a solid RT with either pick?
So far I give Bulaga the edge in the battle. He can pass and run block well. I think he's a great RT prospect.

Yup, he was Belicheck's O-Line coach in Cleveland and coached the Ravens O-Line for a few years,

Yep....thats why we can take BPA with the first pick.

I don't know what game you're watching, Bulaga gets more push on run plays than anyone on our o-line. He's dominationg on pass plays also.
Money time and all the big plays are being run (successfully) behind Baluga. Also stoning his man on the pass plays. I'm sold. Would be happy to see this guy in a Niner uniform.

Yup, I have been a fan of his for months now but he is officially one of the guys I want with one of our 1st rd picks. C.J Spiller is the other but I think he will be a top 10 pick when it is all said and done.

i hope so i really dont want him
Maybe the Niners could trade down from 13, draft Bulaga at #16 or 17, and add more talent from the extra picks?

I'm eager to watch Kyle Calloway. I frequent the Draft pay site The Huddle Report. The lead analyst calls him a day one starter and future Pro Bowler at RT.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Calloway. He looked very, very good out there today.
