This.

Our Tackles have sucked for 7 years. It's time to fix that. Having said that I really like those 2 players. If we could get OT some other way I may be open to it.

The Spiller bandwagon is getting crowded, and I admit that the thought of having a dynamic returner and an occasional scat back is intriguing, but it just wouldn't be the smartest move. We NEED a RT, help in the secondary, and an OG to push Baas and Rachal. We can't take a luxury pick like Spiller until those needs are met. Besides, there are a number of exciting return prospects that can be had in the 4th round back.

So we will REACH early for thos positions and ignore better players that will be on the board.

OK?

I have to agree with Karma on this one, as much as id love Spiller, we need to fix the OL, and i dont think Spiller is so much better than guys like Anthony Davis, Trent Williams and Mike Iupati.

No OL? I'd hang myself.

Our CB's are good, we don't need to draft one in the 1st round.

Screw lineman on day 1. We need to hit free agency and get someone proven!
I like the Haden pick, but I'd pick an OT after, interesting that they don't have Bulaga in the first.

only problem with that is, all the good ones are RFA's in an uncapped yr, not many good ones are UFA's.

How about Jahri Evans or Logan Mankins? Aren't they both UFA's?

DRAFT CJ SPILLER!!!!!!!!

u dont draft a guy in 1st round to get like 5 carries a game and to return kicks and punts (heard hes pretty bad at punt return)

draft would most benifit our team

1a Bulaga / anthony davis (1 of them should fall to us)

1b Iupathi i dont think he would go in the top 17 and would solidify our o line for many years

2 giliyard return our punts and kicks

Under a uncapped yr, their RFA under a cap yr their UFA.

for now, yes, but lets all hope their is a new CBA and a cap in 2010. if so, their will be about 100+ of RFA's would become UFA's.

I see Spiller as a return guy more than a pure RB. and that IS a need.
Like I said, I would only be happy with this IF we were to solidify our line via FA first.

i like our BD's also but we were in the bottom 5 for pass defense... The names are there but the numbers dont lie.

a Returner is not a 1st round need

Really? are you saying your fine with .7 return avg for battle. That's not even a yard! Please when rossum was healthy he alone could take it to the house and put us in the lead. Hester return game his rookie year took his team to the superbowl. Sure i agree oline first but a game changer when all season we loss by 7 or less would make those games a lot different.

we can easily get a good return man later

gilyard in 2nd
ford in third

and i know he has much more positives but look at his weaknesses per a scouting website (walter football)

# Weaknesses:
# Won't get that much bigger without losing speed
# Not very assertive between the tackles
# Generally shys from contact
# Not very powerful
# Not going to get much done on the goal line
# Weak inside runner
# Mediocre in pass protection
# Not an explosive or exceptional punt returner
# Cuts outside far too often
