Well, watching this Eagles and Cowboys game gave me an idea.
Should the 49ers draft (probably pick up an undrafted rookie kicker) with a big leg?
The Cowboys have a rookie kicker specifically handling kickoffs and he is consistently getting touchbacks (he led the league this year).
Nedney only had 5 touchbacks this year.

Absolutely as a UDFA, I'd be looking to get 2-3 in for a try-out, not a high priority but it should be on the FO's radar. Maybe we can even carry a kick off guy and Nedney in our 53 next season.

I dont wanna get rid of Nedney, but I think we could carry two kickers.

You are using a roster spot and gameday spot for another specialist after Brian Jennings. That takes one less away from spots like DB or OLB.
