Just for fun, what if 1 and 2 rather than 13 and 16/17

I am going to take it a step further.

1 - Trade down with TB
2 - Trade 2nd and 3rd for 1st rounder
3 - Trade future 2011 1st round pick and 2010 2nd round pick for 1st and 3rd round picks in 2010
4 - Give Rex Ryan a fake DMVP award for Revis, and obtain their 1st and 2nd round draft picks.

R1: Okung - OT
R1: Clausen - QB
R1: Berry - S
R1: Iupati - OT
R1: Hughes - DE/OLB
R2: Best - RB
R3: Decker - WR

WIN!
Suh and Okung.

I'd love to get a QB, but they make me nervous.

I'd love to Okung, but I think Staley is better suited to play LT than RT.

Suh is the best prospect in this class, but I don't see him fitting the 34.

Put him at DE in the 3-4.

Ummm...I think some of you fail to grasp the point of this thread. Focus.

Ya- I knew NT was out, but I still don't think 34 DE is his best fit.

Could he play there? Maybe. But its clear is best fit is undertackle in the 43
york passes away with a bank statement in his hand.

I would not be sure about that, as a 3-4 DE he would not be able to just rush the passer and beat blocks, he would need to hold the point of attack and stop the outside run etc. If he did just go right after the QB there he would be really succeptible to misdirection etc.

In this draft (for the 49ers) I feel Berry is the BPA....

I would take Berry (and if we can't trade down) possibly Clausen. I am not a proponent of getting rid of Smith, but a possible franchise QB who could sit behind Alex (who IMO will at LEAST be servicable next season) is too good to pass up....

Just think if it takes to top 2 picks to hit on the next Brees or Manning would you take it? I would
Suh or Okung

or

Berry or Okung

Suh is a lot like Justin Smith, just better. Also Justin Smith to my knowledge has always played DE in a 4-3 before joining the Niners. If a big 4-3 DE can play DE in a 3-4 and excel than a monster DT can sure play it with ease.

Warren Sapp. Great 43 undertackle, terrible 5 technique DE.

Just because Suh has talent doesn't automatically mean he's best suited for the 5 technique.
