16F Ten B. Price, DT—They need fattie in the middle so bad after Haynesworth.
16F SF M. Iupati, OT/OG—He climbs up boards and we take two OLs in the first

Personally I would rather take Spiller and still land Iupati at 17. Williams will struggle at LT which is what they need. In that comparison, Spiller is the more dangerous threat. If Iupati can convert to RT then we can take an OG in the 3rd-4th.

So you are saying if they draft Williams they are going to put him at LT and move Staley to right?

No he is saying he would rather see Seattle land Williams because he doesn't believe him to be a LT in the pro's and I'm guessing he thinks the Hawks will plug him in there.

FWIW Seattle will look at keeping Locklear at LT this offseason.

2 Det G. McCoy, DT—Tuff one here. It will be he or Berry.
3 TB E. Berry, S—Frickin’ lucky as other needs prevailed over BPA.
4 Was J. Clausen, QB—They can get a franchise QB or OT if Campbell stays
5 KC R. Okung, OT—They also need an LT move Albert to RT or OG.
6 Sea S. Bradford, QB—They count there lucky stars.
7 Cle J. Haden, CB—Perfect for their horrible pass D.
8 Oak D. Morgan, DE—Time for an upgrade at pass rusher.
9 Buf A. Davis, OT—Need a franchise LT
10 Den T. McClain, ILB—Perfect fit for Nolan’s 3-4, his new P-Willy
10 Jax J. Pierre-Paul, DE—Either a DT or Pass rusher. They go with the latter.
12 Mia D. Williams, DT—Need some beef on that DL.

18 Pit B. Campbell, OT—They love their beef up front!
19 Atl C. Dunlop, DE—Rises back to top after combine and they need a LDE
20 Hou T. Mays, S—Need a safety
21 Cin D. Bryant, WR—They land that WR that can replace TJ to pair with Ocho.
22 NE J. Hughes, OLB/DE—Time to replace TBC.
23 GB B. Bulaga, OT—They need an upgrade at OT.
24 Phi B. Graham, DE—They need a pass rusher

Round 2 M. Gilyard, RS/WR—One of the best RS in the country! Depth at WR.
Round 3 R. Jones, SS—Drops because of the depth in the second
Round 4 A. Owusu-Ansah, RS/CB—Depth at CB and RS!
Round 5 B. Carter, OG—Someone to mold and provide great depth
Round 6 B. Sharpe, DE/OLB—Depth after Parys, Manny, Ahmad and Biggs
Round 7 R. Jackson, FB—More competition for the one FB position.

A couple of things. First, I want Iupati no matter what in the first like many here. I see us taking the BPAOT at #13 and just reach a bit (in most other draftnik's eyes) for Iupati. These two would solidify and upgrade our OL for the next ten years!

In the second, I believe we will get our RS. It also happens to be a WR. I thought about Arenas, but I believe he will go just before we pick.

In the third, I believe we get our next SS whether it is Jones or someone else. This is a very deep class for Safeties with second round grades...he's one, though, that OTC has him as a first rounder. If not he, then it will be another solid SS.

I took a CB in the fourth because I believe we are going to keep Clements and Harris with Bly getting more mula somewhere else. This guy is also a RS and has some speed at 6'1"--a cheaper P. Cox.

I think OGs will drop a bit and some more than others like the last three years. It always seems as though OGs graded high fall hard. Brandon is just a victim of a great draft class. I say he drops to the fifth.

The last two were about depth at pass rusher and competition at FB.

Hope you like.

Only 2 picks I disagree with.

Oakland : Will draft an OL IMO. Bruce Campbell is who I currently have there as Al Davis will love the athleticism a man his size possesses.

Jacksonville : I think they'd go with Dez Bryant in this scenario. They need to sell tickets, it's no secret. And with a lack of playmakers on offense (besides MJD), Bryant could provide them with that.

Solid effort overall albeit I'd be unhappy with Williams as I'm not sold on him. I'd have rathered Thomas & Campbell/Bulaga if it fell this way but this is your mock.

Exactly, if we can convert Iupati to RT then great if not we know he can play LOG. Its a gamble but Iupati then another OG in the 3rd or 4th is what I like as of now. I just want Spiller.
Good Job!!

Overall a good mock and similar to OTC's as noted previously.

A couple of thoughts though.

I can't imagine any scenario where Seattle spends both it's 1st rounders and doesn't improve their OL. I see them going Bradford then Bulaga/Williams

If Iupati blows it up at the combine and the senior bowl then we will have to grab him at 13, if he is still there. If he is a good value at 16/17, he is a good value at 13.

Detroit should draft the best OL available at #2 to protect their $50M investment in Stafford.

Buffalo should draft D Bryant.. No way they resign TO, and they need WRs. Bryant is the best of the class and Tate won't last until their 2nd pick.
Nice post, I'd be happy. We desperately need toimprove Oline. Snyder gave up 9.5 sacks by himself and I don't know how many presures and knock downs he was responsible for. [/i]

You get my stamp of approval for this one. Seems pretty feasible.

If I think as far as the pick in the 3rd, there should be some safety with a heck of a value there. I don't think Jones will last that long personally, but there will be someone who does.

Agree, nice mock

Seattle may keep Locklear on the left side and they could take Charles Brown whom Carroll and Bates are already familiar with in the 2nd

I guess that would be an option. Brown would seem to be about the 7th or so rated OT at this point, so he could still be around at #38 overall.
1A) Spiller
1B) Bulaga
Way to copy and paste OTCs draft.

Fail.

Why don't you pay attention and read.

If OTC, who we truly respect as one of our own "draftniks", gives his stamp of approval, then that is fine by me. These are just for fun anyways, but you want to try and nail the outcome...its a puzzle for me and a lot of fun, too. When Niner Bros I respect give me some feedback, I do pay attention and try to improve my picks for the next time.

Many mocks will be similar in many ways, but OTC and I, as well as many on this board, do agree on the same two prospects in the first. I have said since the first time I posted a mock that Iupati is one who I believe will jump into the early twenties at least especially if he's viewed as an Albert clone who originally was an OG I beleive.

That's alright man, you have your opinions. Short, simple, without merit, but still an opinion.

Thanks and have a great day!

Seattle could be deadly for years if they "hit" on both Bradford and Spiller.
Iupati's floor seems to be Pittsburgh at 18 to me. He fits their system perfectly and fills a HUGE need on their line. No way he goes past them and Tennesse, Denver, Jacksonville, Oakland and Seattle need a guard as well so ... here are the teams between 8-18 pending coin flips:

Oakland
Buffalo
Jacksonville
Denver (from Chicago)
Miami
San Francisco
Seattle (from Denver)
New York Giants
Tennessee
San Francisco (from Carolina)
Pittsburgh
