who is an elite WR we can get?
Ruben Randle, if you guys are already stating Fleener is going to be elite why cant I state that Randle is elite?
But my point is would you guys really have a good #2 TE instead of a good #1 WR?
Whats the point when you already have VD? and Delanie is a decent #2
A lot of experts aren't even saying Fleener isn't the best TE in the draft I don't get why everyone here loves him so much
I hope Fleener is there at #30 and we don't take him. just so I can giggle a little
I'm not implying that Fleener will be elite. I'm stating that I would rather take a TE who has a history with the system, showed game breaking play ability as well block prowess rather then a big question mark of a receiver.
As I mentioned in my massive post about that ESPN article.
From 2001 - 2010
11 of 40 first round WRs have flamed out of the league by the time their rookie contract expired.
compared to just 2 offensive postion players otherwise. 1 RB and 1 OT.
A 1 in 4 chance at selecting a bust and also detailed in the article
A 1 in 4 chance of selecting a "true #1" wr with the other 2 being wild cards as marginal #2 or #3 receivers.
Much rather take BPA over a receiver in the first as history has shown how much of a risk it is to take a WR in the first. Even if its not Fleener I am advocating that we go pure BPA in the first and if its a WR then we take a WR, if its a RB we take the RB, if its a DB we take the DB and so on and so forth.
