Couldnt agree more hes gonna be a bust I dont care what position you play 4 bench presses after 4 years of D-1 football is a joke. Dbs will be throwing him into the stands.

his arms are only 1.5 inches shorter than stephen hill he has really long arms

and hes fast

the short thing is not a big deal at all because hes a deep threat

steve smith from panthers had 3 bench presses

greg jennings had 3 bench presses

This dude is gonna slide big time, wouldn't be shocked if he lasts until the 3rd round.

gotta admit thats soft as hell. some of us are lucky to get that low with consistent activity but for a 4 year college player to register that % then I wholeheartedly believe that 4.61 40 time was legit. IF and I mean IF he had that bad of a work ethic then we might as well draft Alshon, at least he played against consistently more skilled corners in the SEC then in the BIG12 and could solve our redzone and 3rd down conversion issues.

He ran a 4.4 at his pro day. Once he gets in an offseason program with conditioning he'll lose some of the weight again. He still has mad skills and looked great at his pro day, he just needs someone to force him to get in shape. But if he can be that fast at 16% body fat he can probably run a 4.3 something if he's in shape. He's still a really good player.

I'm not against Alshon btw. I like him better than most of the people on here.

if millions of dollars can't motivate him to workout then I doubt an off season program will.

Fat kid clause. Give him pay based on off season workout attendance. Crabtree's deal has slary escalators based on workout attendance. That oughta get chubby pants Wright into shape, and he might get even quiker/more explosive when he's not wearing the fat suit.

its surprising

id that true i mean he already is the fastest player in college football (maybe with the exception of rainey) if he gets down to normal body weight imagine how much faster he will be
So sick of the NFL hype machine and all the combine bandwagoners I could . Kendall Wright is now overrated because he ran a 4.6 and put up 4 reps on the bench press? All his college production just thrown out the window? Stephen Hill was horrible in college and he runs a 4.3 and now he's a first rounder? WTF?

What is going on? Tannehill in the top ten? Silatolu in the top 20? Doesn't anybody learn from the Gabberts, Crabtrees, and Rachals of the football world?

Whatever the guy is clearly over weight and out of shape... Have a feeling he wont be picked in the first round. For a 5'10 WR to run a questionable 40 time than a 6.93 3 cone is too risky. Would much rather take AJ Jenkins in the first.

damn't I didn't see your post before I posted my last one. I dont think Jenkins is a top35 talent, he'll more then likely be there at 61.
Blackmon - top 6
Floyd - top 10
Hill - top 25
Randle - top 40
Wright - top 40

then after that its between Jeffery, Sanu, Marvin Jones and Chris Givens, Jarius Wright could also be interesting pick at 61 as he has a 3rd round grade.
The wheels are officially off this bandwagon...

All good my friend. I like Jarius Wright too and im going to admit Im a combine numbers guy. Not so much height weight 40 time but more of how the 40 time and 3 cone go together. Ive been looking at the combinations of players picked over the years that are having sucess in the NFL and have been noticing a trend. If you run a 4.3 at the combine and only run a 7.2 3 cone your game speed looks more like 4.6. That straight line speed means nothing if you dont have feet. Thats why im so high on Jenkins I think he has the most complete measureables of any WR in this draft class other than Greg Childs

nice, we think alike, I am hoping we are secretly interested in Greg Childs but I'm not holding my breathe. I wont pretend to know what the FO is going to do at 30 but I think we've cooled on Kendall Wright, it seems like we're looking at later round deep threats like LaVon Brazill and Travaris Cadet and looking for a bigger more physical WR early if at all. The chatter is that OG Silatolu will go in the 25-32 range in round 1 with us being one of the teams most interested so I know the week leading up the draft is all smoke and mirrors but I think we're leaning OL in round 1 now.
Its not a matter of college production as it is what "FITS" the Niners system. Which is why a guy like Fleener or Ruben Randle is prehaps more of the guy Baalke and company will be looking at. Both of them have production at the College level but seem to have zero attitude (Wright seems to be more of a diva)aren't selfish and will do whatever it takes to help the TEAM!!

How is he a diva? Seriously people's character assassination on this dude is bizarre. I haven't seen anything to indicate he's a diva at all, his arms are actually pretty long, and he ran a 4.4 at his pro day plus looked good coming in and out of his breaks according to people who were there. He was one of the most productive WR in the draft, He's a good player.

Never said he wasn't a good player. But you can see the attitude of a player on the field with celebrations and chatter on the sidelines. We've got enough of them with Crabs and Vernon. Attitude goes along way. Just ask Braylon Edwards why he hasn't been signed yet.
