Brent Grimes had a 7.13 cone drill, but none of the other CB in this years pro bowl class come even close to 7 flat. While it is a major red flag it is something that a CB can overcome.

If were a betting man, I'd give 3-1 odds (the betting favorite) on the team picking Dennard. I think he will be on the board, and the team will take a LONG look.

Then we trade up from 56 for Verrett and also nab Abbrederis in the late 3rd. Strong work ethics, competitiveness, blue collar & high character picks

Dennard was not good as a rookie At all.
Has he been playing any better? I haven't followed the Bengals extremely closely. Just keeping tabs on my 2014 first-round-bust pick.

He's a backup with the Bengals, but mostly due to the guys in front of him playing well, he's not in Justin Gilbert territory or anything.

People need to let go of this idea that if you do not come in and start immediately that it means you must be bad, even if you are a first round pick.

I don't think anyone here said that. The article calling him disappointing was from the offseason.

This is obviously the case because our first round picks never come in and play good

Iupati and Davis both started as rookies. Aldon had like 14 sacks his first year, Reid came in and started right off the bat as a rookie. Ward was dealing with injury issues all last season and Armstead was expected to need a year to develop into a starter.

Still not a starter. It's his 3rd season, and he's not exactly trying to unseat all-pro's. I'd say "disappointment" is starting to look more and more fair for the 24th pick overall.

To go along with Dre Kirkpatrick. Bengals can't get CB right.

It's funny because they had two premier corners in Joseph and the other one.

Hall and Joseph were legit. Why they let Joseph go I'll never understand.

they just drafted another CB in the 1st this year too haha. These guys are desperate as hell for a CB and they keep messing up. They should just learn to get a CB from FA or draft promising talent in the middle rounds
