I agree AJ was a horrible pick, but we aren't picking at 30 this time....one bad pick shouldn't make baalke pass on WR early.

Check this article out about cooper.

Just makes me want him drafted even more, and yet there are some who can`t see How much of a Gem this guy is ,this is a Jerry Rice type player that come s along every once in awhile there are some who want the 9ers to draft a defensive player who more then likely won`t beat out the starters on the DL,I would trade up to get Him our 1st,2nd 4th,and a 3rd next year, yeah I said it He`s worth it ,make it Happen Baalke.
I think he'll be the pick in round 2
this is the wr i wanted in the later rounds

He(D Smith) did say that after meeting with the 9ers last week ,He felt like they were going to draft Him.....would be nice to draft a good wr in the 2nd round and NOT the 4th round.

I wanted Marcus Peters rd 1 and Devin Smith rd 2. When we moved down to pick Armstead I realized that we must feel great about JTs ability to coach up Arik to realize the ceiling most have projected him to have which will greatly aid our secondary as what is customary of what we've always done. Now in rd 2 I want Desean Jackson part deux and because of our trade down we now have the ammo to go up if need be to select the WR of our choice if we so desire. All I know is I am glad I have to week off to watch this all play out
I don't really want a WR. I think we have far bigger needs. But if we did pick this one I think he is pretty good. He is a good deep threat and has great hands and adjusts to the ball in the air with great ease. He's worth a 2nd for sure where we pick.

Yep but what do you want at this pick? I am not too sure we have a DB rated this highly or any other position definitively

I think you are on point,we do have the ammo to trade up in the 2nd rd to get the WR we have an eye onit could be any of these 3 ,DGB,D Smith , S Coates,or heck who knows it could be d Funchess,I would prefer the speed of Delvin Smith.
I think we're going to draft him with our next pick. I think it will be a mistake though. We need a wide receiver with size that can better serve as a red zone threat. We already have Torrey Smith as our deep threat and another guy in Ellington who has good speed and quickness. We need that size now on the outside.

He plays much bigger though, he has a 40 vert and can adjust his body to the ball...there's some good tape of him in the red-zone. I wouldn't hate any of the top 3 WRs (DGB,Smith, or Strong) in the 2nd.

Yes. Devin is my preference as well. His speed alone will make and impact THIS season and that 4th rd pick moves us to the top of the second rd potentially to nab him. Once Strong is selected we will make the jump as is customary for Trent.

I think Baalke has made it clear that speed on offense is a huge priority, true "cya" sort of speed. Torrey Smith is the only guy who has that, Devin Smith would give them another that could be worked into various packages and could make for very lethal playaction with defenses having to respect the speed of both Smith's as well as defending Boldin in the slot, Davis in the intermediate area and also having to worry about Hyde and Kaepernick running it.

No more cheating on defense to stop the run, no more loading the box, if they don't keep a safety back deep, they are going to get dusted sooner or later.
