the 411 is that no one says "what's the 411?"

This is the time of year when certain players get substantially overrated. Guys that people consider to be "2nd round locks" could very well end up falling into the 3rd round and beyond, even with a good combine performance. The only WR's that I look at as absolute 1st rounder material are Cooper, White and Parker.
I agree on those 3, possibly DGB might get taken at end of 1st by either NE or Seattle. Strong has a possibility to go to the Chiefs at #18, but should probably go in upper RD 2.
That should leave the Niners with some choices at #46 between Devin Smith, Funchess, Coates and Dorsett. At the very least, one of them will be there.
I would trade down 5-7 spots in the 1st to take Carl Davis, pick up an extra 3rd RD pick, go WR with the 2nd, take Lynden Trail OLB and either a CB or OG with the 2 3rd RD picks.
Take a RB in the 4th like Langford or Zenner.

I want Strong and Smith, would be fantastic future trio, with Ellington as the slot
Pick up a DE via free agency (Odrick) draft a project NT in the middle rounds

I'm guessing you would have SJ gone? I think if they cut him he won't cost anything against the cap, which leads me to believe he restructures or is let go.
I would love Strong and Smith, but It would cost us our 1st and 2nd (prob have to move up for Smith). I don't see Strong making it past Seattle.
I'm starting to warm up to Smith

Smith's speed would complement SJ and Boldin perfectly.

If we could get Smith at 46 I would be ecstatic. He's just what we need.

The guy is good, but I just can't see him being a 1st rounder...
His plays and skills however reminds me so much of that ex-Steelers who is now playing for Miami..

I have mixed feelings about Devin Smith (I'm an Ohio State fan) but some of the other receivers coveted by the zone above him make me lol. Specifically Sammie Coates and Jalen Strong.

If Tannehill could actually throw the ball deep Wallace would be a solid #1...I agree with you they are about the same size and have game breaking speed

Well, he did one thing in college... go deep. And he was the best at going deep in college football. But why did he ONLY go deep? Was it because he was the best at it, so the coaching staff kept having him do that? Or was it because he couldn't do anything else?
The ball was spread to a lot of receivers at OSU, so its hard to predict how any of them will translate to the NFL being expected to be "the guy".

OSU WR Devin Smith is "just unreliable on non-vertical patterns," according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.
"Spending a lot of time on WR Devin Smith today. I understand the appeal, but just unreliable on non-vertical patterns. High ceiling role WR," Brugler tweeted. The big-play wideout recorded 12 touchdowns on 33 receptions in 2014, while leading the leading the NCAA with a score every 2.75 catches. While some may question other parts of Smith's game, his deep-threat ability may make up for those weaknesses. Brugler noted in another tweet that if you "need a deep threat he fits," but if you're looking for more from Smith, he "won't fit if you want more."
