I really don't want the 49ers drafting this guy, not because he isn't a stud, he is, we don't need him that badly, certainly not at #2
Hopefully some team in the top 10 in the draft wants him badly enough to trade up with us. I am all for dropping down a few spots to pick up more picks. Jacksonville most certainly has their eyes on Fournette, any team behind them that wants him would have to jump ahead of Jax.. so who knows.

Well people think that Shanahan can make a 1000 yard rusher out of anyone so if they get two anyones then that's 2000 yards right there.

I will be pretty pissed if the 49ers take Fournette at 2. He doesn't fit imo. Cook or McCaffrey are the better fits I think.

Fournette got absolutely embarassed by Alabama, prolly the worst running back to ever play against alabama twice lol I bet you just about every RB that has played alabama twice in that same span did better than he did.
That is such BS!! LOL.
Hey, why don't you ask Clemson how many yards did their RB rush for against Bama too?!
Wayne Gallman is their RB and in the Championship game, the dude had 18 carries for a massive 46 yards!! LOL.
In other words, it is what it is, Alabama's D to begin with is the best there is and its run D is stout as heck, this ain't some CIA top secret, everybody knows that.
Hey, Frank Gore couldn't run against the Seahawks neither. Why? Did that mean Frank was crap? No, because the Seahawks D would stack the box and shut down its opponent's run game.
Well, since the Niners run defense sucked last year, maybe they should draft some of those exceptional defenders instead of another RB at 2.
Im all for draft another RB, mabye 2, but later in the draft class that is stacked at RB.
Well, that's a toss up. It depends whether you want to see the offense taking shape first or try to spread your ammo around.
If you want a difference maker, as in not just some useless run of the mill back which we had already experimented with many times before thanks to Baalke and failed miserably like your Mike Davises of the world, then you will need to go for a legit back in the 1st. Think Todd Gurley and Ezekiel Elliott. That is the level of back we are talking about here with Fournette.

Well, Freeman did get over 1,000 yards, but Coleman only had over 500 yards.

Can he make Mike Davis into a 1000 yard back?

Mike Davis? Seriously, the dude shouldn't even be in the league. LOL.

No, I wasn't being serious. Mike Davis has 108 yards on 54 attempts for a 2.0 yard average. I am guessing that Shanahan will be looking for an upgrade.

I'll go on record and say if he can turn Mike Davis into a 1,000 yard back with less than 250 carries, then I will declare Kyle Shanahan after year one the greatest head coach to never win a Super Bowl.

Oh, no question. The scouts are already working overtime checking out different backs.
I mean if we don't take Fournette at 2, then just too bad, but you can bet your backside Shanny and Lynch will be drafting a back may be in the mid-rounds and/or try to find some gem backs amongst the UDFAs.

That will never happen.
Kyle might be good, but he is no magician. LOL.

If we stay at #2 I think Foster/Fournette/Lattimore/Thomas are the likely picks.
If we trade down within the top 10 I imagine they could take Williams/Davis/McCaffery/Adams

It's interesting that they are filling a lot of holes in free agency but not at half back. And though people say that it's not a position of need, it seems like it is. Behind Hyde there are only two running backs signed: Mike Davis and Raheen Mostert.
