If it's Goff, take him, he is more pro ready. Wentz needs more time to develop and would not factor into anything significantly for LA until 2018-2019. By then, we would have the defense to combat them...in theory of course. In fact, them adding two more studs in the 2nd plus whoever they get at 15 could do just as much damage than a developmental QB, IMO. If it was moving up for a guy like Luck or Newton, it would be different but he is not NFL ready
That sounds like a much better reason to give them Goff than Wentz. Wentz has more long term potential, but it could take a couple years for him to become a pretty big factor. The 49ers won't be good for a couple years. Why would we want the Rams to get better at the same time we're getting better? I'd rather see them draft a guy who can play early, but offers limited potential (think Connor Cook) so we don't have to worry about them being a dominant player in the NFC West for a decade with an elite QB, RB, and defense. I don't care about giving the Rams an NFL ready starter because the 49ers aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I just don't want to give them a guy with Wentz's potential.
Wentz would be perfect for the 49ers. We're not going to be good this year and we have 2 decent QB's on the roster, so he would be able to watch and learn on the bench. We can cut/trade Kaepernick next offseason and let Gabbert walk if we can't re-sign him as a backup.

If it didn't matter, then this team would have at least another SB up in the mantle. I just think you are WAY living in the moment right now with the Broncos SB win, a team that was one KC win away from being a wild card team and one bad Pittsburgh fumble away from losing to an Antonio Brown less Steelers. They beat an injury depleted Patriots team in the AFC Championship that was missing half their OL and the Patriots still had a chance to tie it up at the very end.
Eli was damn near killed
. We ONLY lost that game because of how bad our offense was in 3rd down and the ST blunders. They had 3.9 yards per play but had 10 points off turnovers. Giants didn't even cross the 50 without our help in the 2nd half! I will give you Flacco but let's be real, that defense sucked the entire playoffs in 2012. Both Smith's were completely ineffective. It happens from time to time, it just sucked it happened in the biggest game of their lives.
