There.. I said it..

Thanks Jim. Means a lot coming from you. Can you come back please, and kick Jed in the nuts?
I've seen him play quite a bit I'm from south Dakota. I wouldn't mind him in 2nd. And there is also that Balke connection with ND. I could see it for sure. I also like Goff tho but too many holes on the squad to take him that high. I pray Balke ain't droolin over Lynch I don't see what everyone else does I guess
I can guarantee if he kills his pro day were gonna have to trade up in the late 1st to get him or just gonna have to trade to get him for sure

Hopefully that turns out better than Brandon Weden to Cleveland.
Cleveland has a thing for air raid qbs (Couch, Weeden, and Manziel). They won't take Wentz.
People aren't seriously getting excited about Carson Wentz are they?

Hope springs eternal I guess. There is nothing special whatsoever about this guy. Holds on to the ball too long, doesn't have a quick release, beat up on cream-puff schools... He's a 4th-round prospect IMO. I'd rather have Bryce Petty.

Cleveland? Its the people who run the franchise that make the picks and nobody involved with Weeden or Couch is with the organization. Manziel was a result of the idiot owner overruling his front office people.

Your affinity for Cook calls your QB assessment into question.
The Browns will continue making bad decisions when it comes to taking qbs in the first round. Regardless of who has run that team since they were brought back into the league.

Wentz isn't the flashy name with flashy stats but he has tools that can be developed and he is a winner. Wentz should be considered the number top or second best qb in this draft.

I realize Divison 1AA isn't the best competition but here are some stats:

84-131 (64%)
1143 yards (8.7 yd/att)
9 TDs 2 Int
349 yards rushing
4 TDs.

Those are the games he played last year in the playoffs, Iowa State, and SD State. I don't think those are cream puff schools.

People have some pretty strong opinions on both sides for each of the "top" QBs in this historically terrible QB class.

I wouldn't want him for the simple fact that since he has been out that team hasn't misted a beat with a freshman starting at QB. He has 13 passing TDs and 498 rushing yards with 5 TDs in 10 games (8 starts) - 8-0 record. Wentz was rating a 159.2 before he got hurt and Easton Stick has been at a 153.8 since becoming the starter. So either that is a stacked team or a very QB friendly system. So let someone else take the risk on a FCS quarterback.

It's defiantly a stacked team. They are winning with defense since Wentz went out. I honestly think they will be favored to win the National Championship for at least the next 3 years. That doesn't change the fact that Carson is a legit QB prospect.

You're already saying this before the guy's even been drafted? Usually a guy gets a solid 3 or 4 years before you can officially label him a bust. Cook gets negative 1 years I guess.

QB on stacked teams always scare me because the team is able to cover up a lot of deficiencies. Just looking through a few games and its not video game numbers you would expect from this kind of hyped prospect at a small school. Its more game manager stuff and while that is fine for a FCS team looking to win a title it doesn't do much for him as a prospect.
