Matt Miller said that teams are looking past his one incident, so he might be a top 5 pick again

"Robert Nkemdiche's hotel incident made big news, but sources I spoke with this week at the area scout level still think he'll be in play as a top-five pick. I've heard from the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys that both teams are doing extensive visits and background research on him." -Matt Miller

So is this guy bipolar?
He kinda reminds me of Greg Hardy when he was coming out of Ole Miss.

This guy is becoming my ultimate draft crush. I realize the character concerns but some team is gonna get a heck of a player. I think he will be one of the steals of the draft. Vs. Alabama he had 4 or 5 "wow" plays. I rarely see this guy getting pushed back on film. Splits double teams with ease, brings solid pass rushing skills (shake & bake an olineman and a nice spin move). Very quick in the hole. Shoots gaps and penetrates. Does an excellent job of shedding blockers. There's times he's even triple teamed! NO matter the score, he plays hard.
On the flip side, he takes some add angles on stunts. Does seem to guess the play from time to time instead of diagnosing.
In my eyes, he's a much better prospect then Buckner from Oregon.

You want "wow" plays? Go watch Buckner go against the best guard in the country, Joshua Garnett, when they played Stanford. Straight up dominated his ass.
Just as good if not better and is a high character guy. Give me Buckner all day.

I watched Buckner against Michigan State and honestly I saw alot of him getting washed down the line, or on the ground with not alot of double teams. I just don't care for his long frame. He made some nice plays but I watched Nkemdiche vs. Alabama, Auburn, & Fresno State and I counted at least 20 "wow" plays.
I will watch Buckner vs. Stanford though today.

Wouldn't happen to have a link? I can't find one vs. Stanford

I only see a few descent plays on Buckner vs. Oregon State. He doesn't shoot gaps like Nkemdiche, he doesn't have any pass rush moves. #74 washed him out multiple times on this tape. When he's double teamed he cant split them. Really doesn't have any "slipperyness" with those double teams. I think he plays too high at times. Doesn't generate push with his legs.

I saw the game live, but I'll see if i can find a link.
Buckner played in a true "wait and see" 2 gap scheme. He's not going to be shooting many gaps in his tape. Even so, Buckner had more sacks and pressures this season than nkemdiche.

There's no doubt there are difference in schemes. They moved Nkemdiche all over the line. Ran alot of stunts. I actually think they played a traditional 4-3 but honestly I didn't pay attention.
Don't get me wrong, I think Buckner has potential but I really like what I see from Nkemdiche.
