I don't see him dropping out of the 1st.

He's such a dominant presence, I don't see him dropping out of the Top 10, but if he did and kept falling to say like 18.....what an incredible trade up opportunity that would be.

Imagine if they walked out of the draft with both Tunsil and Nkemdiche, or Goff and Nkemdiche, Jaylon Smith and Nkemdiche.
If we somehow pulled that off, that would make the suffering this season worth it.

Damn did not know about his recent incidents, 2nd round is where he falls IMO.
Take him in the 2nd.
I think he still has a chance to go early with a good offseason(assuming he stays out of trouble )

You think there is any chance he drops to the 2nd or late 1st?

Bet you he's off the 49ers list. At least if Baalke is still the G.M. on draft day. They've seen this movie before.

No they haven't. The Aldon movie involved him going off the deep end AFTER he was drafted, not before. It's totally different. NK would've been a top-5 pick before this, just like Aldon was. If Aldon got a DUI before the draft, there's no way he would've been taken at 7 (wish he were, so the Niners might've taken Tyron Smith or JJ Watt instead )

The more realistic example would be Aaron Lynch. His stock dropped because of off-field stuff, and he turned out to be a steal (probably the best player on the entire team right now). He wasn't taken off the draft board.

Baalke gables on INJURED players, not problem players. Sometimes you get a Tyrann Matthieu or an Aaron Lynch or a Warren Sapp; sometimes you get a Percy Harvin or Kenny Britt.

This all is very funny and bad. After the Aldon Smith experience, Baalke is much less likely to take someone this high showing poor judgment.

The value is clearly there, but do you risk it? I wonder if he fell to the second if the Niners would trade up for him. They could conceivably have Goff/Smith/Tunsil in the first, Carl Nassib with the first 2nd round pick, then try to trade up and get Nkemdiche. Cover themselves if he falls far enough.

I doubt he falls that far. The talent is too legit to ignore for a small amount of weed and some admittedly bad judgment in the moment. Unless he has a track record of character issues that we dont know about or mental health flags like Gregory did I think he goes Top 20 no matter what.
Have to see what else happens between now and the Draft (and I would imagine his past is looked at more closely now). The interview process for any Team interested in drafting him will include some very pointed questions.

Some GM's will believe it would be tough to justify your Team's first pick when there are some big flashing red lights on this guy. Really bad judgement IMHO. Have to see what the circumstances were that led up to incident were. Why did he decide he needed to leave the room through the window? (Police were called to the scene after he fell) Was it 15 feet or 4 stories? Was he under the influence or not? (I assuming yes, but....). Is there evidence of past bad/questionable behavior? How will he handle the situation? (Spin or accept responsibility)

Let the rumors continue!
