In before "he had another rough game just give him some time".
He should have sat out the bowl game after hearing MadDog pronounce him the #1 overall pick. Now he killed his stock
has mike leach ever produced a legit qb? never

Washington St. averaging 40.3 ppg. Falk 37 TDs, 4,204 yards & 71%. Tonight: 6 points. Falk 0 TDs, 190 yards & 59.5%.
In fairness, I have not watched Falk all year. Never was excited about him because he's a Mike Leech product, but man he has not looked good at all tonight.

I think people get lost because they fall in love with his quick delivery and catchable ball. But man he is not nearly as accurate as his completion % would suggest. He makes consistently poor decisions. It's tough to see him as anything more than a mid round pick.

He's the perfect stereotype of an Air Raid QB. Excels in single coverage, extremely poor in anything else.

No argument from me there.

As I was saying, "He is not the #1 overall pick".

Talk about applying the curse of death to the young man, I apologize. Rough last few weeks, for sure. I think he is coming back to school.

Let me assign the new curse to Trubisky. #1 pick.

I'm not sure another year in that offense will help him at the next level but once and for all let's stop with saying the air raid and the old BYU offense is similar to the WCO. They are both simplistic streamlined COLLEGE offenses that run a handfull of pass and run plays from multiple formations. There is a reason we don't see many colleges run something as complex as the WCO. I like Falk and with the right coach he could be a player at the next level but he's a 3rd or 4th round qb at best who would need to sit for 2 years to learn an NFL offense.

The offense hasn't but don't let certain know it alls on here hear you talking like that. That is grounds for a spanking.

Agree.

Luke Falk is project QB even in college. I don't know what that makes him in the NFL -- but it isn't good.

I mean for the past two years it was pretty obvious that the QB classes would be terrible. Usually, there is a junior or sophomore who has been lighting it up and people can't point out. The past two years there hasn't been any at all expect Watson and even he fell off a cliff. Next year there are a ton of prospect with potential that you can point out and say he might be pretty good.

A few years ago this was going to be the golden QB class, stuff changes fast. If Rosen goes Hackenberg, Jackson doesn't develop into an actual QB and people focus on Browning's lack of NFL-level physical traits, that class gets pretty weak in a hurry.

The QB class next year usually looks better because people are only seeing the upside in players, wait until a year from now and all these guys are being nit-picked beyond belief, a couple guys stay in school and suddenly "man, 2019, that looks like its going to be a heck of a QB class, definitely better than this crappy one."

Just like last year, this draft will produce a few productive NFL starters, of that I don't have any doubt, its just a matter of choosing the right guys.

I respectfully disagree. When were there ever any top tier prospects for this QB class? In stronger QB years like 2015, Winston and Mariota were both on scouts radar before the season and projected first rounders. They managed to hold on through the season and not lose draft position because of nit picking because they were both actually really good QB's. And even in your worst case scenario of all those QB's have inexplicably terrible seasons then there would still be guys like Josh Allen, Wilton Speight, whatever Qb's have a breakout season, and others. To me this draft seems reminiscent of the 2013 NFL draft. A lot of Qb's who are meh and real no special talent. As for your claim that this draft will produce a few NFL starters I believe there is no guarantee that a draft will produce ANY good QB's at all. Again just look at that 2013 QB class. It was as terrible as this one throughout the season and process as this one has been and who was any good from that draft? People always pimp QB's just because they are QB's and their team needs one, even if they have glaring red flags. It's just the way it goes. I'm not saying that it's a guarentee that this QB class will all bust but IMO that's where this is headed. I'd rather take a chance on a developmental prospect in the third or fourth round, build the roster with the best players avaliable, and take a QB when I'm actually confident they'll succeed.
