Sounds like a better version of Armstead who wasn't terribly athletic at the combine and didn't have as long of arms as I was expecting given his size. 7 feels a little high to me still and I like Myles Jack a lot if the top 2 tackles and QB's are gone.

???? Armstead was considered extremly athletic. Just a notch under elite. At his size and weight he was still in the 60th percentile for speed and agility if i remember correctly. For a 6'7 292 guy that's incredible.

Yeah not sure what he was thinking with that comment

Picking this guy makes our 3-4 d line elite and dominant. I hope our pick is this guy.

After all the hype he was getting pre-draft about his length and athleticism, I remember being underwhelmed. He ran a 5.1 40 yard dash when many of us were expecting 4.8 or 4.9 and he was mediocre in the 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle (7.57 and 4.53). Again, these aren't bad numbers for a guy his size, but he's also not the amazing athlete he was made out to be before the combine. He had good vertical and broad jumps for his size, but his overall combine wasn't that impressive. I wasn't saying he's a bad athlete at all, but his athleticism and potential isn't close to what some people on here seem to think. 33" arms is also worse than I was expecting.
With chip rolling in he might just be the pick.

Did Chip have anything to do with him? He's been gone from Oregon for 3 years.. if anything the dude is probably a bit pissed that Chip left when he did.. all will be forgiven though if he's a top 10 pick.

Hmmmm not sure if chip was there to recruit? Buckner is a senior..I could be wrong
I want a dominant front 7 again especially after going with Chip. I think Buckner's going top 5 but no way we can pass him if he's there at 7 imo

Agreed straight beast.
Buckner would be a great pick
You give coach Jerry azzinaro armstead and Buckner, and he will turn your defensive line into a top 5 line.

Then I guess we need to fix our Oline in FA

Yes!
Is this guy an edge rusher? Because we need one badly.

He could be a 4-3 edge rusher but in our scheme he would be a 3-4 DE.
